We should have that bronzed and framed and mailed to him.

Did you say Mailed or Nailed?

The Anderson/Shepard dialogue is pretty strong. Not sure why they would cut that, but I'm glad I got to hear it.

Seriously they could have given us zero choices at the very end of the game and ended with that entire scene...it would have been perfect.

It'd be nice if someone could mod the game to at least include the broken dialogue, if not 'fix' the ending.

I really do wonder why they didn't use that dialogue in the first place. It really is quite moving, though apparently it is inconsistent because anderson did have a kid but was divorced, maybe that's why.

Maybe when Anderson said "that ship has sailed" he didn't mean "it's too late," he meant "I've already tried that."

I wonder how many people had to have touched this script before someone was like "oh right, Anderson has a son." I knew because I played the games, read every single codex, and all the comics/books, but all my friend did was read one shadow broker file and she knew that he had a son as well.

Who cares if he has a son? That dialogue is so moving and delivered so well by both actors (FemShep especially) that a little violation like that shouldn't matter.

^This. Sad, really, that the long-time fans are more informed than some of the ME3 writing team. With a few tweas (that don't ignore character history), I would have still liked to see some version of this extended dialogue in the end. It was very sweet.

I wonder why they removed these... you should know better that if there's a clear given image, then grabbing out random fragments will make it hard to decipher.

Might have something to do with making it even more of a feeling of failure when you die. The dialoge creates further incentive to fight for your survival and future.

Yeah, I knew about Anderson's son too, but I loved the scene anyway.

Too bad that the rest of the ending ruins any ability for me to play through it again...

I am doing some muliplayer to raise my galactic readyness, if the game gets a new ending someday.
Perhaps I will do another playthrough but stop before the final mission.

Some fans and people have suggested that we forgive and forget when the EC hits and it actually corrects the ending problems. However, many people fail to realise that the problems don't just start with the ending. It was being lied to about the whole by Bioware itself. If there is one thing that I HATE above all it is being lied to and is exactly what they did, and that is something we should NEVER forget. Oh, take a quick look at this vid that basically sums a few things up quite nicely.

Surprised this thread hasn't been "randomly" closed yet.

One of my favourite quotes is in my signature below.

"From very early on we wanted the science of the universe to be plausible. Obviously it’s set in the future so you have to make some leaps of faith but we didn’t want it to be just magic in space."

Yeah. Yet another lie Bioware conveniently forgot about. Why anyone would purposely sabotage consumer trust and loyalty, I really cannot fathom.
