Dear forum admins,
Please give us the option to change our forum names. Make it so there is a cooldown, so people don't constantly change, but we would love the option. Origin lets us do it, why can't we change it here? Is there any solid reason behind this ? You could even charge for it and I'm sure plenty of people would agree to it, myself included.

I agree, I'm personally not a big fan of having my Origin account name as a screen name, especially since it's also my full name.

I agree 100% with this and I have a good reason I am sick of people asking if I am male or female if not a cooldown as sinarion said maybe give an option of 1 name change a year

Most forums have this option. I see no reason why a simple display name change would be a problem.

I'm +1 for a change as well. I didn't realize when I created this I would be stuck with it forever.

The only way you'll ever get anyone equivalent to an administrator to read anything is via a PM (Chris Priestly).
Meanwhile, all of the signals seen over the past 8-9 months here are pointing to a failure to accomplish whatever goals were set for the site, and almost complete disinterest in further changes, bug-fixes, etc. IMO, they seem to be planning for the Social Site to join the Legacy Forums in Limbo, before terribly much longer. The recent locking of every Tech Subject Self-Help forum is probably the first sign that the ordinary member may recognize as marking a beginning of the end here, but I've been seeing the signs much longer now.
