Although there is no official midnight launches I know of at least, some local stores may still be offering them. I called my local Gamestop on a whim and the manager decided he'd do a midnight release just to get people their games (as well as get his own he added).
So my suggestion is to call up your local Gamestop. Enough interest and they might do it.

Just get the game digitally via Steam, EA Store or Direct2drive and you will get it at midnight on the 6th anyway

Steam... most likley will not unlock it untill around noonish (central time) if they follow the form they normally do.. or is that just Valve games? or are you saying now that i have it preloaded, i can play at midnight tonight? (waht timezone?)
