The fade dream animation where her mother slaps her.
Can this be used at the end of every dialog where she complains?
At least it will take the bitterness out of the "disapproves -8"

What a seriously great idea, so good it would feel to jack slap her -approvals.
Once we are able to work with the "RIM" files and unpack them, this will be easily possible to find and extract that animation, for now it seems worse the NWN2 expansions, you can't open them either. I also noticed there are options and capabilities the DAO Toolset does not have that the one clearly listed in this tutorial does have. http://social.biowar...sation_tutorial
No doubt this is why a great deal of the content is unavailable.

You do realize you can open a .rim file by dragging it onto the toolset, right?

I like this idea
(even thought I've never had many problems with Morrigan's approval)
BTW I've seen the slapping animation in the dalish camp too.

That is the best way of saying "yeah even the developers want to slap Morrigan sometimes".
I just get kinda scared that she might start to like it after a while...

Here are the animation files you'd want (found using Beerfish's excel utilities <3):
mh.cb_bhand_slap_h - right-handed backhand slap
mh.cb_bhand_slapped_h - being slapped, stagger back
mh.cb_slap_r_h - right-handed slap
mh.cb_slapped_r_h - being slapped, stagger back
go nuts

...wait... this is actually possible?
That's brilliant.

Morrigan needs to immediately shut up after being slapped.. and a "Morrigan approves +5" should appear.

Morrigan does seem like the type of person that would respond well to... unorthadox forms of debate. I bet she'd like it.

I really don't find Morrigan TOO hard to keep happy, even when playing as a total Boy Scout. Just keep giving her something shiny every now and then. I have to say that Sten is much harder to deal with. I never know WHAT he's going to take offense to (I don't get at ALL why he disapproves so strongly of helping Redcliffe, considering I told him that Redcliffe will be an important ally in fighting the Blight which he's already so gung-ho over. Talk about single-minded).

Instead of all this Morrigan hate, have you just tried giving her a hug now and again after she disapproves? Can't you tell she's hurting inside?
But speaking of Sten, I could get behind a cage-rattling mod. Did anybody else just leave him to rot in his cage? I couldn't find the dialogue option, but that's what I intend to do unless he gets forced on me later on... at least I didn't see why I should care about his salvation for what he supposedly did and neither did he... which was fine by me.

I don't see why anyone would ever play with any party other than Morrigan, Leliana, and Wynne. I mean, occasionally, I'll let Alistair tag along for plot purposes, but...
Wynne may be old, but she knows things.

Mostly because:
1) Wynne's offensive punch is really pretty limited. Gave Morrigan a healing spell and haven't really missed Wynne too much.
2) You're really handicapped if you take less than three characters who can handle hand-to-hand combat. Your mages have a big neon sign above their heads screaming "KILL ME!" The instant you let off a spell EVERY enemy melee fighter is going to roll right past your own battle line to gang-rape the mage (and I've tried, it is NOT possible to set a defensive position at a choke point, enemies can push through as if there's no one standing there). In Redcliffe I had SIX of the undead fighters chasing Morrigan around completely oblivious to the pounding my P/C, Alistair and Sten were giving them. It looked like the end of an episode of Benny Hill....
And it certainly doesn't help you're generally outnumbered 2-3 to 1, either...

I don't know... group heal is a great safety net along with the battle rez.
I'm playing mage/mage/mage/rogue right now and it's been smooth sailing. haven't been doing it super long though, so maybe things get rougher elsewhere.

Problem with the heal spells--even for Wynne--is that they very quickly reach the point where their effectiveness is greatly outmatched by a health poultice. Several times I've healed a party member only for ONE hit to completely undo the effects of the spell....
The heal spell could REALLY benefit from levelling.

I know, right!
But it is Bumping the topic.
Come on modders.... also try using the punch animation as useable on Isolde.

Ok then by popular demand, hmm let me see about 10 of us maybe, I shall "try" to put this together, but I know FollowTheGord, could have this done in mere moments, darn genius. As to the shaking cage mod, I am all over that one too, gee let me see, Earthquake spell cast at cage, ahuh.

I don't understand the Morrigan hate. What is it that you're doing that makes her so frustrating to you?
We get along just fine. Do you just have trouble interacting with strong-willed women?

She's a great character. I especially love listening to her and Alistair sniping at each other.

I'd like to see this mod expanded to pretty much cover every NPC in the game. I couldn't even count the times that I felt the need to ****-slap Morrigan for being uppity, Leliana for being crazy, Wynne for being old, Oghren for being ugly, Shale for being made of rock and Alistair for opening his stupid effing mouth, but was never offered the chance.
Not only should this be integrated into the story's script, but I would like to see it as an omnipresent dialogue option for just whenever you are engaged in conversation with them.
