Back when I was playing ME3, after the battle at the Cerberus HQ, I was thinking about the Ilos Conduit for a minute.. but hence the game just threw me to earth I never thought of it again... well I dindn't purchase the "From Ashes"-DLC but I reckon that this Javik dude should have had this idea (not to mention Shepard or the ME1 Squad-Mates who would obviously remember this trip, cause it was awesome!) but this is just a damn fine idea to fix this. Especially if we scratch the whole"Star-Child"-Crap and the totally whacky explanation of the reapers. I (shamefully) don't remember who, on which thread posted it, but it is true, that the reapers where especially frightinig BECAUSE they had no reason comprehensible by anybody in the known galaxy. It's kind of like the Lovecraftian Evil Gods (and I did wonder why nobody saw the connection to Chtullu here... with the cuddlefish thing... coming from dark space... the indoctrination... and all...), they never explained their reason. They where just evil and there to get us.

Just my two cents...

This is interesting, will have to come back later to finish reading.

I must return to my meditations.

Going to Ilos would definatley have a full circle like feel, like returing to installation 04 at the end of Halo 3.
And a final ride in the Mako allow me to forgive Bioware fro leaving out vehicle levels in ME3. would be a much better last gamelpay segment than the few rounds of horde we got in Priority Earth
