Consumer's right:

You are entitled to what you own and what you paid for.

The character is on the disk.

So yea you can have it.

The mission is not on the disk.

No you can't have it if you don't pay for it.

Why is it so hard for you to understand that?

Well, because it's not true, mostly.  People who don't pay for things CAN have them, and have BEEN having them at an increasingly frantic pace of late.

It's becoming increasingly important for companies to have good reputations and good relationships with their fans, as that's often the only difference between someone paying for a game and playing it for free.

Then good for you! That's my point.

I dont want that stupid mission either.

It doesn't matter what DLC you get with the stupid ending we get.

But if people are complaining about paying 10 dollars for the mssion that's not on the disk, then that I have a problem with.

And just so we're clear, it is absolutely not stealing to play around with the files installed on your computer. That is patently absurd.

For starters, stealing, by legal definition, is the intentional taking of something with intent to permanently deprive another of the same. Nobody is being deprived of anything when I dig around my own hard drive.

It's a total red herring, and has no place in this discussion, especially not as a cudgel with which to silence dissent.

Not neccessarily.

Gamer complains about every little thing from ending to gameplay its hard for companies to have a good relationship with gamers.

With that said, when the majority of player believe something is definitely wrong "with the game the paid for", let it be the ending or the machanic, then it is the company's job to look into it.

Now, if EA says you can't have the character, then screw them.
It's on the disk, I'll play it and you can put a gun to my head and I'll still use it to tank bullets for my Shepard.

Case closed.

Wasnt so hard, was it? ^_^

i think people complains of this DLC crap cause it should have been in the disk as well ala Zaed way, which it didnt turn out that way because bioware didnt wanted so in the end. so being that said they did what they wanted with the consumers and again consumers fault by buying it, but it doesnt justify it.

Completely agree.
Now I'm not sure if EA actually wants us to pay for the mission before accessing the character.
If they do, screw them. It's their fault for putting the character on the disk.
If they didn't want us to play it, don't put it in there.

And the point of demonstrating that those files can be unlocked on the PC is not "hey guys, look what you can get for free!"

The point is to highlight the inconsistencies between what BioWare has been saying for the last month and what the facts are.

Bioware wants to make more money, because they're no longer interdependent and they're now officially EA"s lackeys, its only natural they want more money.

With that said, the mission is not on the disk, but the character is.
If people didn't know you can access the character wihtout paying for the mission, then it's technically their fault for not finding out earlier and exploit it.

Long story short:

Either we exploit the content on the disk, or they exploit us for our money.

What's the point of doing that/

We KNOW Bioware sold their souls to EA.

There's no need to highlight anything.

If you see a viper, you don't go opening up its jaws and say

hey look kid these teeth will hurt you and are probably poisonous!

You run the hell away.

Hense why i said in the first place,

I dont' know why people are arguing.

R.I.P bioware.

its probably possible with modding.
Or maybe through "sharing".

Go to a friends house and play the DLC if anyone wants it that bad lol

I wouldn't pay a single cent for anything Bioware produce that's mass effect related until I get a better ending.

yes but modding in consoles its pretty much " illegal" since you gotta do other stuff like adding programs or idk what they do actually for the mod of it. i was thinking something like its done on pc version to unlock it.

Thats what I've been saying.

I paid for the console, therefore I get to do whatever I want with it.

If after modding my xbox I find out I can't access some bonus content, then it is my fault.

The reason why I've spoken is because people were complaining about paying 10 dollars for the Missions, and I can't stand that.

You either exploit others or you let other exploits you.

others = EA

PS.

Give us a better ending BW D:

Honestly the DLC doesn't bother me that much, other then them stripping something out of the game, kinda morally wrong but eh..

What does bother me (and why I will never buy another Bioware product again.) is the flat out lies peddled by the crap PR team of this company.
