It's difficult because when you say "ain't gonna buy nothing no more!" you can come off like a petulant child. But speaking with one's wallet is probably the simplest and most effective way of saying that your displeased with a particular product or service. For instance: love DA:O, purchased all DLC and sunk close to 400 hours into it (whether or not that's healthy: no, probably not). DA2: played twice, no DLC.
To be honest, my decision to purchase another Bioware will not be predicated on whether or not they "fix" the endings, but I doubt very much it will be an automatic pre-order for me.

If they don't... well, I don't know what I'll do until I get confirmation one way or the other. I may still play the game, just quit before the star child sequence. I've already begun writing my own fan-fiction that I would use to replace (in my head) the "real" ending.

I'll never give another cent to Bioware or EA

This is the reason they will listen. If Bio/EA wish to continue making money off this game (through DLC) then they will have to make a change. Even if they charge for a "better ending" DLC, you can imagine that alone would generate enough money for them to consider it.

Screw not giving them any money, I'm going to encourage all friends to pirate their games, seeing as how they're not worth spending money for anyway.
As for me, I've just lost all hope. No playing bioware crap ever again.

They wont change anything. DA2 proved that. Most likely we will just get the lead writer come in here and bash everything we say because how the game ended is how their talented and professional writing team felt the game should end. The fact that so many didn't like it is unfortunate but they know best (and they have our money). Toss in occassional (false) hints at dlc awesomeness that will "please/excite" the "fans of the series" to try and appease us; then it will be business as usual. Negative threads and feedback will be locked with people being told to post in the larger threads that typically get ignored by them and they'll announce their next awesomesauce new project complete with stunningly innaccurate cgi video.

For me though, i am done with Bioware. As i said in another post, since i already have ME 3 i'll grab it's DLC cause of the time i have invested in the first two games. But i'll be boycotting anything from Bioware hereon in. Well played Bioware, well played indeed.

I'm not expecting anything to be changed. They knew what they were doing, and they knew the fans wouldn't like the ending, but they did it anyways.

The only way they'd fix the ending IMO, is if this current ending is a troll job, in which case they're trolling the wrong audience.

To be honest, I hate the ending as much as you all but having it changed still wouldn't really correct it, in my mind at least. I still would be aware of the intended (current) ending. I mean, having the ending "patched", essentially, feels the same as me ignoring the current ending and just making up my own ending in my mind.

I've just taken this as a valuable lesson to not buy a Bioware game ever again, unfortunately. Their franchises have been run into the ground and I just can not justify spending money on their products to be disappointed yet again.

Be reasonable I would advice, trying to intentionally hurt the other party is simply unethical. If you felt Bioware have done severe injustice to the product and to you for being a fan. Best thing we can do as a fan of the franchise is not stooping lower by advising other people to commit terrorism against Bioware.

If they don't change it? I uninstall the game, never buy a DLC for it, and put Bioware on my list of companies whose products I don't touch until I see massive amounts of customer reviews from people who've completed and loved said product.

I'd add 'cancel my TOR subscription', but I did that before ME3 came out.

I didn't buy this game to feel mentally drained and physically uncomfortable, but that's what happened anyways. I'm still in a state of shock, confusion, and slight depression. I feel like I've wasted so much time...

Let me rephrase that. All my friends who were thinking of playing this game were thinking about pirating anyway. For months, I've tried to appeal to their ethical gamer side in order to legitly pay for the game, to save up their own money in order to purchase it.
Now, in all honesty, I really don't care, they can do what they want, which, after hearing my complaings, pirating is what they will do.
Besides, money is the only thing bioware seems to understand.

If they don't change it? Well, that's 100% their call and I will respect their decision. But as it stands, I have no desire to continue Mass Effect 3 in any form as it is. My other Shepards will just have to sit in their ME2 saves.

Alas, poor BioWare! I (thought) I knew them.

If they don't intend to rewrite the ending, I doubt I'll ever buy or play anything from them again. Or EA for that matter. I accepted a great deal of shenanigans from EA and BioWare, even including that dick move with the "From Ashes" DLC, but enough is enough.

Won't be purchasing any DLC that doesn't rectify the endings. If there is an adequate fix then sure, I'll probably fork money towards whatever other DLCs follow. Mistakes are made and I'm very understanding of that. Fortunately, the whole game save the last five minutes was brilliant, so it really shouldn't be that much of a trial to make things right. But with the current situation still in play, me buying another Bioware/EA game is up in the air if not highly unlikely. I'll be much more wary of their titles in the future and where they're likely to go with them. Definitely won't be pre-ordering anything unless this is fixed.

Well, if they don't change it, then there's no point playing it again or any future DLC. I don't demand any changes. It's their product. I'll just vote with my wallet. I loved Kotor 1+2 as well as Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 1. ME2 (story) and Dragon Age 2 (gameplay) left me a bit underwhelmed but ok. ME3 was a great experience right up until the trip to earth. From that point on it made no sense to me and sadly that's what is the most important thing to me. Thank god for the Witcher series where decision have real consequences and replayability is a given. If BioWare can't fix this, then that's it, I guess.

If they don't change the ending I am done as a Bioware customer. DA2 and ToR were simply bad while ME3 proved that while their current writers are great in many areas they are not very good at weaving together a coherent BIG plot like ME3's... or maybe they can and they just wanted us to feel sick when we were done. It's really sad because I thought they did a wonderful job with almost everything leading up to the finale.

If this is not rectified I will break off me and Bioware's 9 year relationship... I'm tired of getting burned :(

If they don't sort it out then I, like so many of you, am done with bioware. 1 mistake is tolerable (DA2) and coudl give them the benefit of the doubt. But then messing up ME3's ending, especially when there was an ending already written that at least made sense with established canon, then failing to correct the error?

That would sound liek a company that are no longer interested in making decent games and are just after your wallet...

well i wouldn't buy any dlc for me3 and would probably never touch any mass effect game again cause the endings ruined the whole series for me.

and here i was just some months ago, thinking to myself: "if me3 is only half as great as me1 and 2 i will probably be stuck in an infinite playthrogh loop for the rest of my days." well, it was, until the last 5 minutes ruined it all for me.
i defended da: awakening and da2 against most of the criticism but this...no.

if i'd never buy a bioware game again i don't know, as this is the first real disappointment from them imho.
but it's actually also the biggest disappointment i ever experienced in the end of a story anywhere, including books, movies and other media. and i'm someone who was actually quiet content with the endings of Lost and Stephen King's Dark Tower.

you know guys I read in the little leaflett in the box that EA has a 90 day warranty on the game should we all take advantage of this I mean we didnt buy what we thought we were buying or what was promised to us

In the version I read (US) that only applies if you haven't run the game yet. I was serriously considering asking for a refund back when the game wouldn't launch because Origin is such a terrible system.

Honestly guys I'm with all of you demanding a change but lets be honest they don't HAVE to do ****. They can just say that is the story they wanted to tell, simple as that. I mean despite all the polls and threads, twitter posts, and outrage I am a realist. 20,000 people are not a majority and yes there probably is a giant silent majority but if they dont voice their opinion then nobody cares. It's like everyone who complains about COD each year yet it tops sales records each year, most people are gullible.

So what happens if they dont change it? What will be your feelings then and what are you going to do?

Honestly for me if there is no change in the ending I think this will be my last BioWare game. This is something I never expected to say let alone think of especially since I enjoyed DAII. But honestly ME3 gave me a feeling in my stomach I have never felt in a video game EVER, so I just cant trust a company that can play with your emotions like that. The only other series I have felt such an emotional connection to was MGS and MGS4 ended perfectly for me, it might have been a cop out "happy" ending, but I cried and felt good about it. Even if Snake died at the end and there was no final BB scene I still would have been happy. But ME3 is like Snake failed and died, Patriots won, and we dont even find out what happens to any of the characters.

Im with you dude i was moved by MGS4 just as you were. I feel like Shepard was stabbed in the back by his creator aka bioware. All i wanted was to keep doing good and hope that i could get shepard through this so he could see his children with Liara i held onto that hope that he could have a happy ending despite the odds. If snake can make it through everything and still find peace why cant shepard? No one was upset over the MGS4 ending. Happy endings are what people want, sure have sad ones to but we need a variety. And even more so what the fans really are asking is for CLOOOOSUREEE. That would make a ton of people satified. But i think shepard deserves more than anything to have a chance to live a normal life helping rebuild and keep the peace. We think the galaxy in in trouble without relays? What about without shepard who united the galaxy, made the hard calls, and worked so hard to win with honor intact. I think his/her death is as great a loss to the galaxy as the relays. To the answer of the question, i will only say WE WILL SEE. Depending on how bioware plans to fix or justify this depends if my loyality stays intact. Other than the ending it was a fantastic game but as in every story the ending define everything.
