What if they DON'T change it?

I have been a loyal fan for a while and I have bought tons of ME merchandise. If they don't change it, then I don't even know what to do. I will definitively not be pre-ordering their games. DA2 wasn't the greatest already, but this was an outrage! ME means so much to me, and even know I still love the rest of the game and past two games, it just won't be the same. Knowing that our character's effort and choices didn't mean anything also gave me a feeling I never felt before in a game.

Hopefully the silent voices will act too.

I'm not expecting anything to be changed. They knew what they were doing, and they knew the fans wouldn't like the ending, but they did it anyways.

The only way they'd fix the ending IMO, is if this current ending is a troll job, in which case they're trolling the wrong audience.

This is what I don't get. They knew what they were doing for sure. They created the game and it was obvious that this ending is not what we wanted. How could they do this?? I don't get it. My respect for BW is pretty much gone.

I will probably buy future Bioware games because they are still the best gaming has to offer, but there would be zero reason for me to buy any ME3 DLC.

Same. There might not be any devs left that I'll preorder from, come to think of it.

I'm not going to buy another BioWare game, or DLC, if they don't listen to the fans and fix this. Not because I feel betrayed or entitled or something. I don't. But because ME3 end showed me that it seems their future games will make depressing end mandatory for everyone. That's how out of place from their previous games (that I loved) ME3 looks like. It's not what I'm looking for when I decide to spend my time and money on a game. Sure, I can read reviews before I buy their future games to see if it was possible to get a good end, but that would spoil the whole story and then the point of playing the game is lost for me.

Funny thing is, ME3 is the ONLY reason I installed Origin, that's where I pre-ordered it and had to deal with its bugs, but for ME trilogy end I didn't care much about them. Before that, Steam was the only place where I bought my games, all BioWare games starting with KOTOR included. After seeing the endings of ME3, guess what I did? I uninstalled Origin and have no intention to buy anything from this EA store anymore.

Sure, EA and BioWare may end up not caring about 20K (that number grows very fast though) disappointed fans and doing nothing to fix this mess.. But IMHO that's just bad business. I think the most angry and vocal are those that supported BioWare long before ME and DA series. Doesn't make sense to alienate long time customers.

And if they do fix the endings, I have no problem waiting even a year and paying for it if they will make it a quality end where your choices really matter and you get real closure of the story.

No more preorders for sure, there was only 2 companies that I bought from unconditionally, Bioware and Bethesda and after this there is only one.

TOR gets cancelled and uninstalled, future games get ignored, I wash my hands of Bioware. I know it won't make any difference and they'll still make a huge profit in the future from their games, and that's fine, but I'll personally be done with them.

i don't even want to think about that option :( but if they don't change it? i guess i'll just try to forget that the whole franchise even existed. even now i have a bitter aftertaste when even thinking about me3. i don't think that will ever change.

but i sure won't get invested in further bioware games. they already killed dragon age 2 for me. don't have high hope that the third part will be any better. and kotor? nah, won't even think about it. nah, they won't get any more money from me. and if i really wanted to have a future release? pirated versions work just fine for me.

Well, then it's very, very, very likely I won't be getting any dlc that's released, or any future Bioware game. Hopefully they will though, given the fan reaction.

If they don't fix it, they don't fix it. I'm not (in my opinion and I don't mean to be antagonistic) "petty" to boycott or grief bioware over 15 minutes of poor writing.

Game over.

Or, to quote a well known personality round these parts...End of line.

I'll cancel swtor acc and forget Bioware ever existed. Not being childish with "suck it then" attitude, just being cautious, just don't want to end up betrayed again.

I can agree with this.  I wouldn't completely be against waiting a six months to a year for some kind of large "Awakening"-sized epilogue that actually gives us the ending.

Yes, it would be bad business to not have included the ending in the first place, but I would happily pad out the next 12 months doing ME3 playthroughts if BioWare comments on this soon, confirming this is the plan.

No pre-orders or DLC from me.

I will maybe and a big MAYBE give their next game a chance but this time I'm going to be smart and wait for fan reviews. Most of the fan reviews nail exactly what I didn't like in Mass Effect 3, as well of course things I liked. "Professional reviewers" are not reliable. Not one of them really properly addresses the endings and other issues in ME3.

Then I'm done with BioWare. First DA2 and now this, they may have just lost a customer who has been buying their games since Baldur's Gate.

IDK, I was already mad about TORtanic happening instead of KOTOR3, now this ruining what is otherwise a good game/series? This is just the straw that finally broke the camel's back. and I love and defended Dragon Age 2 :?

Not going to pretend I won't play the occasional game if they don't bother releasing an ending that isn't stupid somehow - it's hard to break a 9 year habit-  but it's not going to be day 1, and it's not going to be new. Used or rentals, no dlc.

I just don't see the point in even going through it multiple times if everything I do leads to the same pile of fail at the end, just in a different color.

My SWTOR account is canceled as of yesterday.

No more pre-orders from now on. For anything. It's a shame I had to learn that lesson with my favorite game series. I was sure this was a no-brainer.

And if nothing gets fixed, then well... I'm done. If the DLC is Aria on Omega, or some sort of add-on missions for prior to the Battle for Earth -- not interested. I need an epilogue, and some sort of final battle. (Bonus points for a Harbinger showdown)

Failing that, I'm sorry BioWare. I'm done.

It's the ultimate renegade ending. Shepard ended the war and killed every single organic/synthetic life that lived on a system with a mass relay. That's what the galaxy gets for not listening to Shepard about the Reapers. hehehehe

It was a good ending actually. Now I get to save money because I don't have to buy Bioware games anymore.

I have been a fan of Bioware since Jade Empire, please make a change to the ending. If not you just lost me as a customer.

If they do not, they lose me as a paying customer for any and all games they ever will make, ever again. I did not play this series for five friggin years to get this emotionally attached to the storyline to see it end like this.
