Does anybody have good strategies to kill  the archdemon as i am having trouble with it. i can get him about half way then when the other darkspawn come im done im a mage and i brought shale and orgren along.
any help would be appreciated

what is your group composition? spec of mages?

do you summon guys to help you in the fight?

ballistas are your friends if you have problems

i dont have the summon one lol. i only have like 12 of each of the redcliffe and dwarves and the i have like 4 mages lol. i screwed obviously at that part i dont know how i killed so many of my infantry but i stupidly decided to accidentally save over my save before the fight so i cant go back at all. theres ballistas i didnt even see those lol .

eheh then gogo ballistas!!!

if your mage have hexes try to keep them on him as much as possible... ice cone can freeze him too, just for a split second but is good to interrupt him

also if you have bm/sh you can try to keep up the soldiers (of course dont let your comrade die to save a soldier, but if you have sustained healing you can use some on them too)

Yeah...none of my party members got hurt when I fought the archdemon. I ran straight for the batistas and just kept firing...and that is all I did until the dragon wasn't moving anymore.

It's a fun fight, but I think a lot of the reviews, previews, and guides over-rate the difficulty.
