We feel you man I had the same feelings but instead of taking a look online I tortured myself with replaying the last bit of the mission. I cant think of another way to let us down so much. Well except for the whole galaxy exploding, but it would actually make sense...

ME3 aside im so depressed that i will (porbably) not play previous games again.
Im a hard core sci-fi fan and i always expect "unrelativly and nonsense" endings from any sci-fi game/film/book. Even with that attitude Mass Effect ruined me :(

You've read the games wrong.
"Everything in the mass effect games suggested we were heading to a glorious victory."
Quite the opposite. Everything in the Mass Effect games suggested that we're sc...d when the Reapers get there, to have even the slimmest chance to survive, we have to give everything.
Remember the fight with Sovereign? With half the citadel and two third of the citadel and alliance fleets decimated? It didn't point to a glorious vicotry, it did point to total annihilation.

I absolutely loved the hell out ME3. As a game, it's probably the most fun I've ever had and I was looking forward to doing a full ME1 > ME3 playthrough. But now...I don't think I can do it. Those 'endings' have left me rather 'deflated' to say the least.

I have 6 different Shepards (1 of each class). 3 are still in ME1, 2 are in ME2. After beating ME3 with my main Shep, I was going to go back and run the other ones through, exploring the different story choices, romances, &c.

After I beat ME3, I just... don't feel like it. The existence of all of them just seems trivial. I wish I had got them all half way through ME3 before beating it.

Oh well.

Ive put my games away. Not going to complete ME 3 with my other playthrough or finish the one I have half way through ME 2. I just can't knowing where it will end up.

After me1 and me2 we were left with hope hope of winning hope of actually mattering. But this this tears way that it gives in to the despair. As such Shepard might as well have a breakdown before the mission or during it and its actually would be strange but better than just accepting something that an AI said without even questioning plus an AI that controlled the reapers after all it could say anything.

At first I wanted to go through the game over and over listening to every possible chat option, but it all seems trivial now. I would be fine with a bittersweet ending, but this one just leaves so many more questions unanswered and opens up so many plot holes.

I have no problems with total annihilation, something like new Battlestar Galactica series where all survivors forced to live on ships and run away from reapers or we just deal with indoctirination and reaper control and reapers take over the galaxy. Ruling universe with an iron fist.
Or The Crucible made some forcefield around earth and reapers cant get through but neither we. So most of the fleet trapped in earth while reapers trying to get through.
I dont even care if Shepard lives, he can sacrfice himself for the greater good.
But i have definetly problems with starchild, non exploding Mass Relays, teleporting squad mates.

That ending didn't just kill the game for me, it killed the entire series. I cant play any of the games after that. Im still in disbelief.

Its actually the absolute STUPIDEST and WORST ending ive ever seen in a videogame. Ever.

It's the worst ending I've seen to any story ever. It's not just stupid, hackneyed, or contrived, it actually feels as though it were directed at the fans with all the malevolent gusto of a predator who has set up his prey for five long years, and is now coming in for the kill.

Not saying that's the case, just that that is how it feels.

While I certainly didn't expect victory without great cost, I did expect that my Shepard would be able to prevail in the end, just as in the previous games. Finding out that whatever I did made no real difference to the outcome in this game has certainly dampened my spirits and put my progress on hold. While I'll probably continue sometime in the future just to "finish" the game if nothing changes, it would gladden my heart if there was a satisfactory resolution of this issue.

I refuse to accept the ending, and simply refuse to play the game again until a fix comes out. If the fix doesn't happen, well, I won't be buying Bioware's next game until everyone is satisfied with it.

I feel like I've been headbutted by a krogan, and then waking up to the news that al-Jilani is the new human councillor. All those hours we've put into the game, all those choices we made doesn't even matter. Mass Effect 3 is an incredible game up until the last fifteen minutes or so, then it just gets FUBAR. I hope they will fix the endings somehow, if not I imagine that the last part was a hallucination, that I'm still in the Citadel control room, the Crucible worked and that the Normandy is picking me up.

The ending we got destroyed three amazing games and my will to play anything.

I've been playing this series for 5 years. I've invested hundreds of hours into this series. It's difficult for me to continue playing after the disappointing ending.

With Mass Effect 1 and 2, I played the endings over and over
Storming the Citadel and confronting Saren while the fleet battle raged above.
Attacking the Collector Base, paying them back for all the pain they caused Shepard.

These were epic moments they made me a silly fangirl.
Then came ME3. It was almost there. Almost had that same epic I'm going to do this bit then reload and DO IT AGAIN and then... THAT THING happened.

And now I can't even touch any of the games. Previously wonderful memories are soured by the knowledge that none of it matters and it's all going to hell.

Same for me.
just a month ago i've played again with ME1 and ME2 to cover all planet with a probe, complete every single quest, but now i've no will to do the same with ME3.

Ever feel like not feel like eating for 5 straight days, just simply want to do nothing but walk outside for hours and hours just because this is the first time you've felt this horrible? That's what I'm going through. Never in my life, especially as a graduate student in Physics have I thought my mental state would get wrecked just by a single game.

Yeah i feel with you.... Although i am no student in physics, but in geoinformatics ^^.
I am also not an "emotional" guy, at least that's what i thought all the years of my life... even a case of death in the family left me mostly "untouched" (yes i know, shame on me...).

same goes for almost all games or movies i have seen/played so far. and that are a lot!
but for some reasons the Mass Effect series really touched me, especially the end of ME1, as well als most of ME2.
Very emotional!
ME3 even topped this by all those "heroic" dialogues during the game and when you see sheps best friends dying.
But than it all comes down at the end leaving me really depressed und unsatisfied. I finised the game last friday and was yet unable to sleep well.

Never experienced such a thing before in my life (and i am almost 30...). Not even after breaking up a long yeared relationship (in reallife).
Never thought that anything could have such an impact on me.... So shame on you Bioware for messing this up!!!!!

I finished me3 yesterday and since then all I've been doing is reading these forums and waiting for BioWare's response. When I bought my N7 ce I was sure I'm gonna play it many times but now...I just feel so disappointed and will only play me3 again, if we get ending which mass effect and we fans really deserve.

While playing ME3, i loved it so much that i already was thinking of playing all 3 games back to back, maybe making my first femshep...

Then got to the ending, i already noticed on some websites that people were dissapointed about the ending, but i kept telling myself that i might like it anyway.
Boy was i wrong, never have i felt so dissapointed about a game.

Finished it last night, today i started Mass Effect 1 for my Femshep playthrough, got to the character creation screen and turned it off. It just isnt worth my time, knowing how her story would end in nearly exactly the same way, nomatter what choises i make.

I can pretty much relate to this. It's been two days and I feel like a zombie. I don't know why I'm this sad, it's just a game, right? :/

I know, I mean I am a gamer and bad endings are expected sometimes and all but...

I feel so depressed and barely can go through my second playthrough, I just can't seem to get into ME3 again after the endings =l

Loved the game actually played multi just to raise chance of good ending. Now im playing mass effect 2 cause the ending there was better. Gonna give bioware the doubt that future dlc will explain somethings before playing mass effect 3 again.
