WOW.
Just amazing. I hope BioWare takes notice of this. This is what happens when you have gamers who happen to write working on your game, rather than writers who happen to game. Is Lucir's ending more PREDICTABLE? Yes. Is it more CLICHE? Absolutely. Is it original (in terms of the concepts/idea... not talking about the actual dialog... which is REALLY good)? HELL NO.
But I'll be damned if it isn't 1000% more satisfying for me as a player than BioWare's ending, and quite frankly, that is way more important to me than predictability or originality. At the end of a 75-100 hour journey, Lucir's ending makes it all MEAN something. I accomplished something... something that I did mattered. With BioWare's ending, nothing I did mattered.
This is truly, truly outstanding work. I wish I could have seen it in game. Bravo... encore.

Never going to happen, but I'd have loved to have seen the fans reaction to THESE endings instead of the current ones. I'm betting there wouldn't be a $35,000 charity drive.

Short question about the entitlement mindset. Why exactly would we *deserve* anything?
An excellent question! And for your answer I give you Mr. Brent Knowles: Writer, programmer, and game designer. And oh yeah, a former Bioware employee and lead designer of Dragon Age: Origins.
"I read one recent blog post where the writer basically said "the ending was awesome because it was just like a movie" and I think she was missing the point.
It is a game. Not a movie.
And more specifically, its a role-playing game. The players are *part* of the game. Part of the process of building and experiencing the game, much more so than with most other forms of entertainment.
Entitlement is really a right, for the gamer, because they have participated, actively, in the game itself.
Again, I can't speak to the actual ending myself, because I have not played it but in general I'd say a Role-Playing Video Game Trilogy Ending should (try to) do the following:
1. Reward the player's choices throughout the series. The big stuff they did should be noted. They should *feel* like they had a unique impact on the world.
2. End on a positive note. This is really important for video games...life in general is full of s****y stuff happening all the time. When I invest a hundred hours into a game I need to walk away feeling like a hero.
When you waste a couple hours of a person's life with an artsy/depressing movie or short story or even a novel, it is more forgivable because the time spent is less. And presumably the consumer knew what they were going into when they started. Certain directors create certain styles of movie. Certain writers write specific types of fiction.
On the other hand somebody playing an epic role-playing video-game trilogy is going to *expect* to be the hero and save the universe. That's why they are playing the game. When expectations don't match reality, disappointment is created.
It might be an artistic/creative move to go with a different style of ending but I feel its the wrong choice, especially for a videogame *trilogy*. Make your middle game bleak if you want to, but end the series on a high note."

Alittle cheesy... but very well done!
I'd add images and text inbetween credit pages:
Garrus (if not romanced and paragon): In the aftermath of the reaper war, Garrus Vakarian eventually was offered the position of turian primarch, after Victus's death. He took the position to help his people rebuild their homeworld.
Garrus (if not romanced and renegade): Even though he was offered a high ranking position in the turian hirarchy, he refused in favour of a more mundane life. He left Palaven to travel the galaxy, eventually founding the "Archangles", the most influential mercenary group in the terminus systems.
Tali (if not romanced): Tali Zora vas Rannok built the house of her dreams and continued to lead her people as an Admiral, helping with the rubuilding of her society.
Garrus and Tali (if both not romanced): Tali Zora vas Rannok and Garrus Vakarian settled on the the Quarian's reclaimed homeworld, building Tali's dreamhouse. Garrus became the first non Quarian, to be offered a position on the Admirality board.
Ashley (if not romanced): Leutanant Commander Ashley Williams resigned from the Specter post, but stayed with the alliance, eventually climbing to the rank of general, like her grandfather before her, thus breaking the "Williams curse" for good.
Liara: Liara T'Soni returned to Thessia, using her influence as the Shadow Broker to help the rebuilding affort. She named her first child Benezia.
Joker and EDI: Flight luetanant Jeff "Joker" Moreau and the awakened AI EDI stayed with the alliance, helping with the rebuilding of the fleet. Joker eventually was promoted into the rank of Commodore, became a flight instructor, and was giving the commando of the training ship SSV Normandy SR2... becoming the first commanding officer in alliance history to only fly himself.
James: Leutanant James Vega continued to serve with the Alliance marines. He eventually gained a new unit, the "Locos", which became renowned for doing the jobs, nobody else would.
Wrex: Urdnot Wrex and Baraka (Eve) shaped the future of their people, revolutionizing Krogan society. Eventually they handed over the reigns to Grunt who continued to rule in their name.
Grunt: Urdnot Grunt returned to Tuchanka, eventually found a mate and continued to lead the clan when Wrex resigned. He sired 126 children.
Jack: Subject Zero (aka. Jack) eventually became headmistress of the new founded David Anderson academy for biotic youths in London. She implemented a non swearing policy, which she herself broke on a regular basis.
... that's from the top of my head... feel free to add your own ideas!
The sad part is that with the promises Bioware made, I expected SOMETHING like this to go with the endings (of course endings that make sense and account for your decisions would be nice as well). As a long time fan, I just had my standards set for a much higher quality end to Commander Shepard's story, kind of like the epilogue of Dragon Age: Origins, but with actual cutscenes and dialogue.
I guess we can all still dream

There doesn't seem to be any sacrifice, I don't want grimdark or anything but it's a little too perfect.
I liked the Liara part though.
