of course there will be a forth game.

it's right at the end of the game, it's hinted big time.

Gotta remember, ME4 could always be prequel, I don't really see how bioware could expand the game forward, but they could always go backwards(if you catch my drift)

I agree. I loved Shepard, he/she was awesome, but there is so much more to see and do. ME4 revolving around new characters and rebuilding could be fantastic.

The worst part is that they already set up a potential cast of characters for ME4, if they so chose to. You've got James (who grows quite a lot during the game), Kolyat, any of the biotic students at Grissom Academy, etc. None of them are put in life-or-death situations (that could conceivably result in their death), and would be a great cast to move forward with.

There are plenty of stories to tell as well, but I can't say anymore because of what the game spoils during its ending.

I love the Mass Effect universe. Like the Star Wars universe, there are thousands of stories to be told!

This, there is so much potential with the Mass Effect universe.

I think a re-release of Mass Effect 1 with Cryengine 3 and Mass Effect 3's combat system and RPG system would be amazing, just patch up the end so that the Reapers are stopped for a million years instead of a couple years.

By the time ME4 comes out, people will have grown up a little bit and gotten over it. I think that's how maturity works, anyway.

I can't wait to start over fresh in a new trilogy.

If we play AS him, "You're aces in my book" could be the new "I should go".

Can't wait for the toilet scrubbing minigame. And then the renegade option of not washing his hands before making dinner.

So, first you're criticizing people for complaining about being nickel-and-dimed for DLC content that's clearly on the disc in a playable format, and now you're saying that everyone isn't mature enough to "get over" the endings, even if people have been posting rational, lengthy reasons why it doesn't fit into the canon, comes out of nowhere and has little relevance to the game you played.

Is it sad that I was upset that Rupert wasn't in it? I wanted to see his face everytime I had to run down to the medical bay

Trying to avoid spoilers but the outcome of ME 3 will totally eliminate a possible ME 4 post-ME 3 environment. Therefore if they want a ME 4, they seriously need to fix the ending loopholes in 3 first.

Just saying you're oh so very wrong unless you really got a sucky ending.

Ending is sorta like me1 ending with me2 beginning put together. At least mine was. Was a fairly happy ending for me.

Guess alot of people wanted Shepard to ride a unicorn flying over a rainbow. And everything shown and explained instead of implied.

If some one brings up dark matter energy etc from me2 as a big plot thing... Well it never was it was mentioned only a few times and was mainly a plot device for the tali mission.

Dark energy was intended to be a major component of ME3, but it was apparently scrapped in favor of the current endings.

No one expected a "happy" ending - just one that fit the themes of the series, not philosophical gobbledy-****** that has no real relevance to anything.

The endings are nowhere near the level of ME1 or 2. Not even happy either once you consider the circumstances everyone finds themselves in.

Not true.

If anything it sets the stage for a more intimate saga. ME was epic in scale. An intimate story can be just as good as long as Bioware takes care with it, and doesn't rush it. Rebuilding all that happened could possibly be one of the most fulfilling tales I'd certainly pay for.

Doesn't matter. Doesn't Matter. DOESN'T MATTER!

I liked the ending. You can poke holes in it, just like you can poke holes in everything in this fantastic series. Why do that, though? Enjoy it as it's intended.

It's not the destination, it's the journey. Wise words. Wisdom comes with maturity. Hopefully.

I conduct myself by one guiding principle that helps shapes the majority of my views:

"Don't be on the side of internet rage."

It has served me well.

I can see you're getting a bit upset, so I'll level with you.

I have serious problems with ME2. Doesn't stop me from playing it. I had some problems with this game (which wouldn't have been enough to deter my purchase).

However, this is the culmination of three games worth of content, and it ends with a stock cutscene that has very little variation. Of course people will feel upset and betrayed at wasting their time for no closure whatsoever. It DOES matter.

Sometimes, the destination is just as important as the journey, especially if you're asking people to invest 60-100 hours for the same payoff as anyone who picked up the game without importing and knows nothing about the series.

I think you need to calm down a bit and stop pigeonholing anyone who disagrees with the company line as immature and entitled.

We've had this cleared up by now. Parts of it are on the disc, and parts of it aren't. They managed to stick like 50% in the game pre-release, but were still working on it after the game was completed.

you create different scenarios with your decision in the end of me3. for example they have to create a world with relais and without. doesnt work i guess. and whats about the reaper

First of all, I haven't finished the game yet but and know nothing about the ending.

My guess is, that there will be a 4th Mass Effect but it will not continue the current Story. Maybe it'll be a prequel or the current Story but from the view of someone else. Maybe something like Kotor and SWToR, same universe and story but hundreds of years after ME3 with new problems.
Bioware and EA won't let the name Mass Effect die, because a game with that name will become a topseller if they won't ruin it totally.

Without going into specifics, BW pretty much torched the franchise at the end of ME3. I don't see how anything besides a significant time skip will alleviate the circumstances they created for themselves.
