I'm currently using Windows 7 64-bit

After I installed game and tried to play it, the configuration utility crashed with this screenshot
(sorry, it's korean, but you can see what the error is)

You can fix it by suspend WMI service. try this.
start - run services.msc - select windows management instrumention - Pause
then configuration utility runs well. after exiting configuration utility, you can Resume WMI service.

I fixed other games' crash (eg. HL2:EP1, HL2:EP2, Portal) with this method.
