Whenever I do use on of these, the view messes up and I have nothing to select. I have to click blindly on screen until I hit something. Most of the time I can't find anything to hit and i have to exit the game and restart.
Any ideas on why it's doing this? My copy is on Origin, not edited anything else...
Cheers!

It's because the fix is not properly enabled, it hapenned to me sometimes. You should retry until you see the "press a key" and other menu correctly.
This is how I fix it : exit Widescreen fixer, ME3 and Origin. Wait a few seconds. Launch the fixer then ME3, enable the fix when you see the EA logo and don't skip the last part of the intro.

That's what I was/am doing. Whenever I enable I get a blank title screen. Clicking mouse will bring me to a working menus screen, but from there any menu in game will be blank.
This is with Auto Detect Resolution set.
If I untick auto detect and mess with the figrues, I can see menus but they're either too small or cut off.
My native resolution is 1920x1080.
When it auto detects it says 2944x1080, is this right?
Do I need to manually set up t he fixer for my native resolution?
Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers!

You wouldn't happen to use multiple displays, do you?

This is probably a stupid questions, but does it affect combat? I'm not sure being zoomed out will make my aim any better.
Edited to add - is the default FOV 75?
Yeah your question is completely retarded! No i'm just kidding
It does not affect combat, it just makes you see a wider angle.
I believe the default angle is 70 but it might be 75.

If you have a single display at 1920x1080 and the auto detect failed, try to uncheck it, set "displays count" at 1. Set up manually your resolution in the others settings.
I missed the display count check. It was set up to 3. Switched to 1 and it's running perfectly.
Thanks!

I am glad that you like my plugin for ME3:)
I made a new update yesterday. Now you can use the FOV in MP also (up to 110 degrees)
Also the FOV will now work everytime. (previously I saw some problems with the fov)
The tool was originally created for nVIDIA Surround Users (Eyefinity doesnt work, but if you use bezel corrected resolutions in Eyefinity the engine works correctly).
I am glad that you can change your fov even for single monitor usage and you find my plugin nice:)
ME1 Is also supported (FOV & Scaling) - Only Steam Edition (NOT RETAIL/NOT ORIGIN)
ME2 is also supported (FOV & Scaling) - ORIGIN + RETAIL + STEAM
ME3 - you already know.

It's a console portWhy this isn't a standard feature is beyond me
That is utter nonsense. EA Origin can, in theory, check any file for modification. Changing a file extension to .bin doesn't stop md5 from working. If it was a simple .ini we wouldn't have to be worry about those potential BS from EA.

Just open the the launcher and choose your Aspect Ratio, and Resolution.
The launcher will be in the games directory, in the Binaries folder.
Im assuming this tool just changes from say 75-100 FOV?

I'm still looking for a decent widescreen fix for Doom 3 too.
