I was in the exact same shoes as you were and are now. I dismissed the negative posts as typical BSN and frighteningly find myself among them now. I'm certainly not saying the Bioware is lazy or condone any of the other more personal and negative attacks I've seen, but I certainly feel like Bioware made a mistake that should be fixed.

I'd love to have one of those RetakeMassEffect banners. Are there any with Canadian Fleet?

Yep. I would normally never post at the BSN, because of all the overreaction and flaming, but after playing through the game spoiler free and not knowing anyone else who plays them I needed somewhere to come where I wasn't alone. Hence, BSN. It feels oddly satisfying to be with like minded individuals.

While my wife plays she stays off the forums. She is actually on Earth right now in the game talking to the crew from the com unit getting ready to hit the end. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place. If I tell her about the ending and she doesn't see it for herself I am in trouble but I also have a feeling now that I didn't warn her about the ending I am in trouble. I am also the one that got her hooked on ME back with ME1 so I am sure I am in trouble there too.

I'm currently talking to a friend who says "Yeah, I'm on Rannoch and so far it's awesome! I know you've been right before, but I just don't believe you man. Maybe you did something wrong in your playthrough."

I feel so sorry for his future self. *cries*

Atleast in a day or two he'll be saying ... "God damnit!  Why did you have to be right again!"

Yeah, I never like to jump on the hate bandwagons that seem to be obligatory after every game release these days. But this one really upset me. I actually have found solace in the company of like-minded people on the forums.

Ha, I was in the same boat. Figured it couldnt be "that" bad. Yet, they somehow make da2's ending look good.

^^

At least in DA2 when Hawke runs away her/his LI goes along.

I've never really posted here before, but the ending has definitely made me want to express my disappointment. I knew other people already were, but its interesting to see how many people agree with me.

I was going great right up until you met the Catalyst. It's at that point, with the choices given, that the entire thing just fell flat.

I left the forums because i was getting sick of the negativity over the leaked endings because most of the time BSN tends to over exaggerate everything... then i got to the ending myself...

Yeah, I got the ending, and all I could think was how many hours upon hours I poured into the ME series, hundreds of hours, and to get that as an ending really made me upset because I felt like I had essentially wasted all of my time playing Mass Effect.

A 'meh' ending is one thing, it can be overlooked, but this was a HORRIBLE ending that simply made no sense.

Ending basically was:

Reaper devil-machines come to destroy the galaxy. Shephard has a 'chat' with their Star Kid boss -- literally -- and the Reapers either hand over their brains to Shephard, or self-destruct...for no apparent reason.

That is just inexcusable.

I am truly sorry for everyone here....if I could give you back what you all lost I would do it in a minute.  I love the ME Universe and find no solace in having you in the same boat I've been wallowing in for the past few days.  But at this point only Bioware can do that.  Please voice your feelings in http://social.biowar.../index/9512916.  It's where we are all gathering to try and make this right.
