Just a couple of screenshots of my warden. His gear is pretty sub optimal (no wardens keep gear, uses dual axes, vehshaille and aodh and is wearing the dragon scale plate). I didn't do a heck of a lot of min/maxing with him but I found that I didn't really need to because this guy practically plays himself:
  • 36 Dex to dual wield big slow axes.
  • Pump rest of pts into STR
  • Spam Dual Weapon Swipe, Whirlwind, Punisher and Warcry ftw.
It's interesting because my first attempt at beating the game was with a dual wield rogue and I felt like the special moves were really lame and weak. I suppose it was because I was using daggers, because when I made this warrior and deliberately switched to the slower weapons, the animations for things like Flurry and Punisher kept the same speed, but hit much, much, much harder. Like I said, very interesting.

This character was a lot of fun to play because I already had berseker unlocked from purchasing the book in a previous attempt at the game. So at level 7 I had berserk and momentum and I realized suddenly that I was a bona-fide bad ass. It just got better from there as my armor/defense/attack/damage went up.

Good times.

Your observation w/r/t talents like flurry is spot on. I often feel like the DW tree was built for warriors first and rogues second. Rogues are better off momentum backstabbing, although DW Sweep and WW are still useful against packed enemies.
