Reading codex it lists reaper ship classes, a capital ships shielding is under stress with 3 Dreadnought main guns, failing at 4, so at 5 it should take it down or at least disable or severely damage it.
Technology aside war in general is a numbers game, chess pieces moved on a board. The endings should be based on Math. If we can amass 5 or more Dreadnaught class ships for every reaper capital ship and similar numbers on every other class we should be able to beat the reapers with conventional means.
Throw in some Spec Op missions like killing there AA or anti ship batteries and the ground assualt and we dont even need the Citadel part of the quest, let along blow up the Universe in the 3 coloured spectatular.
These endings have taken away the whole concept of "gather your allies", build a big fleet that in the end means little or nothing. How many of us spent time gathering 6000+ effective military strength thinking we could smash the reaper fleet only to discover your effort was for naught. That hurts.
I have 170 hours on Mass Effect, just over 250 on M2 and as is M3 is probably lucky to get another play through.
This game is good, imagine a real "what you have done matters" at the end and the ending to the "Shepard Trilogy"
would make this game great.
For shame bioware for shame
Ending should be mathmatical
