Matriarch (named from the asari matriarch of Mass Effect) is a new community for female players of BioWare's games. There's quite a few of us hidden on this forum, so now's the time to get to know each other!

It's application only, so if you're interested, shoot me a pm or email. There is a form which you will have to fill out to prove you are, indeed, female.

If you are interested, check out the new forum here: http://z13.invisionf...iarch/index.php? You will have limited access to the forum until you register.

MALES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If you are found to be a male member on this site, your account will be deleted immediately.

I would personally reccomend making a BioWare Social Network Group for it, as you'll get a significantly larger audience for the Matriarch group.

It's application only.

Is this a fan group, or a dungeon raid group? :P People will likely flock to something less demanding and strenuous.

Ah, OP, you're such a sexist. And this being said by a woman. What the hell would be 'better' about such a forum? Or 'different'? It might attract the usual crowd, but I'm no part of that, thanks.

I do not object, if it means that women will have a place to call their own, without men constantly annoying them.

I wonder if all these women would like Bioware games if they didn't have all these romances shoved in them ? I doubt it.

What is the aim for your site? Why would you not want males at all?

I'd understand a secific forum, but a whole site? It just doesn't make sense.

Am somewhat used to the exclusionary nature of such clubs and gatherings; sisters did not want me and my brothers at their slumber parties either, and we typically had the 'Keep Out' signs posted on our doors, too.

Still, seems a bit excessive on it's face, and may wish to relax the standards a little.

Of course, if females do it, it's not sexism...

"It's fine if women do it"

Plus it would mostly attract creepish guys pretending to be guys.

The only reason males are not allowed is that there would be no *point* to the site. It'd just be another forum where 90% of the community would inevitably be male. The idea was to get the female players together. No sexism is intended at all.

Also, I've heard of cases where, as Melrache has said, the presence of girls would attract creepy guys wanting in. Hence the strict registration. The case is simply, woman joining a male site does not usually come with consequences, whereas males infiltrating female sites can come with consequences.

The forum is designed for chatting about games and perhaps adding features a bioware social network could not provide. It's not a dungeon raiding group, although it could be used as such. It's anything. If you have any suggestions of how to 'relax the criteria' while still maintaining the underpinnings of the site, I'm all ears!

How dare you use the dehumanizing term "males." I am duly offended.

So, OP, you're talking about 'consequences'...What might those consequences be? Any examples? Also, adding 'special' features? Like what then? And how are you gonna check each person's gender anyway? Demand pictures? They could as well be fake. It's the internet, lol.
