Feminism is in a sense no better than racism...Both concepts start from the point of view that one thing is better or deserves more attention than the other...and it is this flawed distinction that caused things like the Apartheid in South Africa.

Sigh. You're completely missing the point. It's not to block people, it's to find likeminded people. As I said the only reason it's blocking guys is to a) protect members and 
not have majoriry male members. The idea came from me wanting to meet other girls who play bioware games and make new friends, not to create a sexist site. At the moment we barely know who else plays because we're a minority.

What I'm trying to say is that both women and men should be looked upon as equals. Neither of them are perfect. We all have our flaws. And yes, I don't agree with the fact that men have been dominant in most roles in history. But history also has a great deal of respectable women figures. Anyway, personally I think it's a bit stupid to create a BSN look-a-like site for women only...Is there any sort of discrimination against women on the BSN right now? If it is, I certainly haven't noticed it myself.

Oh, I see. There's no harm in wanting to find out other girls who also play games. But why would you want to create a site for that? You can just as well create a group on this site and state it's for women only. Just an idea.

I seriously want to know how you think you're going to get irrefutable proof of someones gender from an applicaiton form. I also think it's a ridiculous and hilarious notion. Why would I want to talk to only females abour games? Most of my gamer friends are male and I don't mind at all.

I hear this a lot, and it's an incredibly frustrating view (though I can understand how it got started). A lot of feminists that I know personally (including myself) are feminists because we want both genders to be treated equally. There are feminists who believe in women before men, and while they are welcome to travel down that road, I am just as welcome to feel mildly uncomfortable around them.

I see no problem with any group of people having a place which is exclusive to them.
If there is enough of a sense of identity and a wish for privacy that they wish to do that, then more power to them, they're not hurting anybody. Wanting to intrude and pry into such things or "put a stop to them" is not egalitarian, it is the act of a very rude and weird person imo.
What I would say, is before you advertise another forum here (which may be bad etiquette, tbh) - actually have a complete website at the other end of your link before you start

@Gotholhorakh: As far as I know, nobody's mentioned 'prying' and 'intruding' thus far...Just the general idea that it's a bit odd to have a BSN-clone for women only while BSN in itself has shown thus far to be neutral on the field of gender treatment. Or maybe I have missed something, could also be an option.
