Yes it had real atmosphere. No cover, rest of hammer running with you, everyone taken out one by one. Almost made it before *bam*. I loved everything up to the rising platform. Anderson dying, Hackett calling (and insisting the problem was on Shepard's side) and Shepard's failing eyesight,

From there my main issue (aside from the ending) was that even though I had a maxed reputation and chose the paragon persuasion choice every time I talked to TIM, I wasn't able to choose the final persuasion against him in the Citadel. I wanted him to realize he ****ed up in the end before he died. I also didn't get the 30 second clip of Shepard breathing under the rubble, even though I had an EMS of 5200 and chose to destroy the reapers.

I've heard something about that potentially being a PC CE issue, or maybe a CE issue in general.

I have a PC CE too and I had the same problem with TIM. I don't know about EMS, I did it with an EMS of just under 4k, but apparently that doesn't make a big difference T.T any more than the rest of your choices.

Pretty dumb. The point was to get Shep to the beam, but joining Hammer for the mad dash just made Shepard a prime target. It would have been much smarter for Hammer to rush the beam whilst Shepard sneaks in from the other side.

Then again, they put the Normandy at the head of the fleet in ME1 (completely negating any stealth advantages, and basically making sure that the most expensive frigate would be among the casualties if it hadn't been for Joker)

Surprised that they cut out the part where the Normandy swoops down to assail Harbinger. Charging a Reaper dreadnought on foot, in plain sight, is not exactly conducive to success.

The initial plan was to get as many of hammer as possible into the beam. Shepard has the biggest chance of doing whatever needs to be done once they get to the Citadel, which is why Anderson told him/her not to die. The Reapers coming down was something they did not expect and too last minute. There was no time to plan from scratch is everyone just ran for it and hope someone, anyone, got lucky

Here are my thoughts after the reaper went pew pew:

1. Wow, what a great way to end the series. Shepard looks like he will die while saving the galaxy.

2. Beamed up - ok everything looks good, wtf were all the posts regarding a bad ending about? (I saw them on the forums, but chose not to read)

3. Man I wish TIM would have been a badass boss fight against a super reaper human.

4. What an amazing way to end Captain Anderson! Those fools on the forums were idiots.

5. What the ****, why am i speaking to a mystical beam of light.

6. Wow alright - these choices are kinda limited but seem ok overall, I guess I will choose synthesis.

7. Wait....every relay was destroyed, doesn't that kill everything in each solar system they were in (ME2: Arrival)?

8. Wait...if the citadel is the boss of all reapers doesnt that completely destroy the plot of prothean scientists planting a virus (ME1)?

9. Why the hell is Joker flying away from a fight to save the galaxy without any explanation?!

10. WHY IS LIARA GETTING OFF INTO JUNGLE LAND WHEN SHE WAS IN LONDON WITH ME!?

11. Now i understand what all the forum posts were about...

Perfect description of the stages of what I felt xD

I liked the run to the beam and the wounded stagger to the beam that followed it. Both felt very heroic.

Epic. Until you get mandatory shot by Harbinger.

It's cool in some respects, but if you have a high enough EMS you should be able to get to the beam without being hit. Maybe the Normandy comes in and attacks Harbinger while you and your squad make a dash for the beam. Same thing with your party getting shot and dying. Haven't we been forced to lose enough characters, already, for a "bitter-sweet" end?
