Like it says im playing on insanity with a engineer in i notice that the flame thrower turret can be used for tech combo hit enemy with incinerate boom they explode. the combat drone electric attacks can also be used for combos when drone hits them with electricity then you hit them incinerate or  overload bam.  the defence drone can be used to this makes doing combos so much easier.
