Does not recognize "From Ashes" even when attached to EA server?

More than every other time, almost two out of three times, I have to exit out of ME3 and restart, because it is not finding "From Ashes" even if I am attached to the EA server. Origin knows I purchased it, why can't I continue my game, which is beyond FA (although I know it needs it for the squadmember). It is rather annoying. If the Origin background program, which we have to have running, knows I own the DLC, the game should not refuse me, no?

I can play multiplayer, but it still does not allow me to continue my singleplayer game, even after exiting and restarting ME3 three times. I will try shutting down and restarting Origin next. If that does not work, I am not certain what else can be done. Any help would be appreciated. I am running 1.01 for what it is worth.

We've got several other threads on this with others having this problem.

Try:

1) going to \\system32\\drivers\\etc and editing your HOSTS file to remove any references to servers at ea.com

2) Go to C:\\Users\\your user folder, then to My Documents\\Bioware\\Mass Effect 3\\Biogame\\Config and delete the OnlineProfile.profile file. Then shut down and restart the Origin program and try ME3 again.

3) Delete all files in C:\\temp and C:\\windows\\temp (whichever is applicable or both if both are applicable).

I did only #2 and this cleared things up for me. Others have tried combinations of these and had success, but it hasn't worked for everyone, just a heads up. I hope it helps you though! :)

nah, the problem is not with your computer, its with the game. when the game does a first time connect with the ea servers it usually activates all dlc's after that. if your game fails to contact the first time when you start it, it doesnt activate the dlc's. even switching between mp and sp doesnt work when you see it looking for digital content. its annoying, i know, but you need to restart mass effect until it connects the first time.

This remains extremely frustrating. Those of us who paid extra for DLC now cannot even use the regular game b/c the DLC is "missing". Bioware needs to fix this soon. :pinched:
