There is no value, no quality, no continuity to that ending.
I am not interested in any of those copy/pasted endings.
Why should I replay the game? None of my choices matters, and nothing that is offered to me in the end is satisfactory.
Why should I pay for DLC? Just thinking of the endings depresses me, and as I said nothing I did matters.
His opinion is irrvevelant, The clients' isn't. This is a business. It's as simple as this : you won't fix it? You won't get more money from those that feel cheated, including me.

This is true, but he could've acted with a bit more tact. People are upset, they want answers, and until Bioware issues a public statement then these little bits of information are all we have to go on. Nobody likes being mocked and when it comes on the heels of a disappointing end to a trilogy that's been years in the making people are going to be mad. Manveer Heir should realize this.leonia42 wrote...
Manveer Heir also indicates that his opinion is not the opinion of Bioware as a whole, take that for what it's worth.
True enough, jellobell. It could have been done better. The situation is so volatine now, however, that it doesn't take much to set people off. Honestly, we should all sit back and chill-out and give Bioware a chance to put things right before we say things we'll regret later. We're grasping at straws, any comment at all from a dev is quickly torn down and critcised and I think the PA guy was making the point that fans are expecting the impossible. We really should all take a break and look at this with logic instead of with rampant emotion and knee-jerk reactions.

U think we need to all go and write emails to real news networks. Not about ME3, but the general way these companies have felt they can treat us over the recent years. If commentators on all the networks start getting emails, esp larger amounts of them, one of them might start looking into this stuff. If 1 major news show does a piece on the crap some of these companies think they can pull, it might trust start forcing them to change.

Jeff, posting this is inflammatory and can't go anywhere good.
Mr. Heir is probably hurt and disappointed, so he's coping with sarcasm. The BSN is hurt and disappointed and won't react well to sarcasm.
Damn, it's like Horizon all over again.
This!

I understand your point, but they do let you choose: there are three endings that actually do mean different things for the future of the galaxy. It's just that you can't preserve it as is. Just because it's a choose your own adventure doesn't mean that there has to be an ending where we ride off in to the sunset with our LI (or even anything like that). I really feel like they are so within their rights to give us what they gave us. And I don't feel bait-and-switched. But I do understand where the frustration comes from...
But that last choice renders 99.9% of all 3 games pointless. No matter what you've done, you'll be presented with the same 3 choices. it means the majority of the game is just fluff.

It's cool. If Bioware employees want to encourage others to mock their own fans then let them. It won't help their case.
It'd be funny if someone sent this to a news site and that employee was fired.

DISCLAIMER: Opinions on twitter do not reflect those of BioWare. The employees are individuals. Do not take things out of context and do not under any circumstances lose your civility with Mr. Heir, who poured his heart and soul into the game. He obviously disagrees with your stance and you should POLITELY explain to him why it isn't so black-and-white as his re-tweets are indicating.
The following three statements from Penny Arcade fellow Ben Kuchera have been re-tweeted by Manveer Heir for general attention.
"There is a movement to change the ending of Mass Effect 3. I love it. I support it."
"I want this for everything. I'm starting a letter writing campaign to have Gatbsy end with a steamy sex scene."
"Max Payne should end with a surprise party and his wife and kid are there. Someone needs to write the petition."
The irony here is those endings would make as much sense as a StarChild ending and destruction of galactic civilzation at the end of ME3.
..wait.

Again, we have not heard a single direct response to these tens of thousands of posts over the last two weeks. We don't have anything to go by. All of the sudden, our first real indicator that anyone's listening is an indirect sarcastic mockery of thousands of fans. Sorry if we react with some emotion, and don't all set up a committee trying to figure what exactly he meant when he retweeted that obviously condescending "joke".

really if they're going to mock a fan-base they could at least defend a good ending.

I appreciate the point you were initially trying to make but I think everyone else has missed it or decided it was an insult because of how it was made (not by you, but by the tweets themselves). It's par for the course here, maybe this can of worms was best left unopened.

Remember, this guy works at a HUMOR website. He trolls daily. The best way to handle this is to show him why it's not about "we want a happier ending!" or "but what about my LI!??!" fanboyism, but to direct him to a thread where we have the most coherent reasoning. The people who are acting immaturely about this are just ruining it for the rest of us. Honestly. They're causing mockery.
True that.
