yeah the writers just watched an episode of Maury and thought "hey that's a great idea", and am i wrong in thinking that the whole thing is vaguely racist? i mean the only person to cheat is a black man, it at least has some horrible implications

Except it's completely OOC for Jacob to do something like that. <_< He's very straight up and blunt with Shepard. He wouldn't run off to another chick and knock her up before ending the relationship with Shep. He's not that kind of dude.
So yes it's a OOC action that makes him sterotypical.
It's just insulting and pointless. I don't know why the devs did this. Few fans or not they should've respected the character and the fans more than this.
