Why no Toolset for PS3 Version?

Upsetting to say the least.
I've been using tool sets to build custom scenarios, mods and adventures since well forever.
But it's been a while since I bought a PC vs of any game since consoles got so good.
So why no toolset for the PS3? PS3 supports keyboard and mouse so why no toolset?

They decided to not spend their resources on porting, and instead added a bunch more quests to the game. Do you want a better game or a multiplatform toolset? BioWare figured you'd want a better game.

We bundled MSSQL because that's what we use internally, so we know it works. But if anyone who's database-savvy wants to try hooking the toolset up to a different database by all means take a shot and let us know how it works. I've heard of people successfully using MSSQL 2008 instead of 2005, which admittedly isn't as big a jump as MySQL but at least shows that you're not completely wedded to the bundled database server.

Edit: Read Adinos info on another thread about it. I guess its more harder than it seems.

Sorry, if it helps i hate consoles because they do not have keyboards as standard and do not allow modding and other creative things. I would love it if they became cheap computers like in the 80s with the ataris and Amigas.

Just out of curiosity, are the SQL commands hardcoded or stuffed into a 2DA/script somewhere? MSSQL and MySQL use slightly different syntax for several things (like table creation for instance) so the SQL statement itself would need to be tweaked to get it work. If it isn't exposed anywhere, there is no hope of doing this...at least not with any SQL server that doesn't use the same syntax as MSSQL.BryanDerksen wrote...
The other big hurdle is that things that go on the consoles need to pass through Microsoft/Sony certification first. Not easy and not cheap.

You would likely need to triple the amount of RAM in your PS3 to get this toolset to even load.
its not getting the toolchain to load on PS3 thats the issue its compileing it for the PS3 ( I.E. UT3) and i for 1 would gladly buy a PC copy of the game to use the tool chain to extend the life of an already great game
we already know thayd never alow a toolchain for a platform how ever as far as PS3 is considered dosent it support Liux?
im already aware that the PS3 Linux is PPC based ( I,E power PC mac) how hard would it be to make DAO work on linux install tho an external HDD and run the toolchain from there the only fault to that is that the mod would still only be for PC.
all im asking for is a way to put the MOD on the PS3 ( once again like UT3) theres several options to look into and yet again i feel it would be benificial to BIOware to do it or at least look into it.
sony is generally open minded enough to allow these kinds of things ( for example UT3 and linux itself) we are not asking for anything that is unreasonable o that was never done before.
we are asking to expand our console experiance as well as sell another copy of your game (make more money from the consumer) and follow the example of UT3
also note i have started a thread with the same point as this http://social.biowar...41141/1#1461206
