So many ME3 spoilers being dropped I've now reached the point of saying screw it, I'll just go look for a complete outline of the plot and be done with it.

Edit, ten minutes later. Turns out the plus side of giving in to the spoilers is that I now know enough not to want the game anymore. Thanks, you've saved me 90 bucks or so.

You mean you actually browsed these forums while playing the ME3? What the hell did you expect? When I played it I avoided all forums and such together because I knew there would be spoilers everywhere. Suit yourself.

Nope. Before even buying ME3. Not even played the demo yet. But I've browsed round here because I'm just starting a second playthrough of ME2 and got a few things wrong, so I've been here looking and learning to improve my second ME2 playthrough. Only here, though. Not on the ME3 board.

Well, Jeez, I dunno. Maybe that with a whole board solely devoted to ME3 that all the ME3 posts would, y'know, be in there instead of here in the ME1/2 area? Bit like how you probably wouldn't post stuff about NRL in an AFL or a soccer board simply because it's a different frikking game.

Still, done me a favour as it turns out, so no harm done in the end. But it's still weird.

I somehow still manage to stay completely oblivious to any spoilers being posted here. Heck, I can read the forums all day, and when I come across a spoiler, a neuron fires in my brain and all that comes to mind is

"Drums in my heart are drummin
I hear the bagpipes hummin
My Bonnie Lassie's comin over the sea
My heart with her she's bringin
I hear the blue bells ringin
Soon we'll be highland flingin
My love and me"

Over and over and over :P

It is a skill to learn how to avoid spoilers. Still, I do agree with the OP. There is really no need to have threads talking about ME3 in this forum when they're are many set aside for that very purpose.

Why would you even read a forum that says (spoilers allowed) if you didn't want the game to be spoiled. While your feeling sorry for yourself the rest of us optimist got a large poop on the chest by bioware since they're laughing their way to the bank.

/sighs. Look, spoilers for ME1 and 2, fine, because I've played ME1 and 2. I am spoiler proof for those two games and that's why I'm happy to read a forum for ME1 and 2 that says spoilers allowed. The problem was that spoilers for ME3 haven't stayed confined to that board for some weird reason. I mean seriously, how difficult is it not to post ME3 stuff in a forum for the first two games when there's a whole board dedicated to the new game? I'd have thought no more difficult than walking into the correct lavatories when you're in the pub or, as I suggested, posting about rugby on a rugby board instead of a football one.

Oh, and not feeling remotely sorry for myself as it's saved me $80 or so. Like I said, it's done me a favour as things turned out, but I still find it bizarre that people posting about ME3 seem to be scrolling down past the ME3 board in order to post in the area for the first two games.

Wow, if you even thought about coming to ANY ME 1/2/3 forum before finishing the game was a stupid decision, period. There's no way to argue that. With a series this epic, the was no way I was coming here until I finished it, and I've seen 2 different ends. Best trilogy of games I've ever played, hands down.

Sure, who could dare to think that people would post ME3 stuff on the ME3 forums and leave the ME1&2 No Spoiler forum for, you know, ME1&2 non-spoiler discussion?

If someone is playing ME1 or ME2 and wants to check something on the ME1&2 forums, s/he should be able to do so without being overwhelmed by a bunch of ME3 plot related topics.

I kinda expected this (to put it in some way, you could indeed say that it's stupid to ignore people's stupidity), but I certainly don't approve it. What pisses me off the most isn't just that some people can't read and keep doing this, the worst thing is that everyone around seem to be perfectly okay with it. I guess that's easier than trying to do things well.

This is the sort of thing that plagues message boards the world over. There is this feeling with many posters that internet rules aren't the same as "real world rules" and are to be ignored when the mood strikes.

First off becoming spoiler riden is your own fault. No one forces them upon you and it is not difficult to avoid them. Second, even knowing certain things about the game you don't want to experience it for yourself? Someone told me the ending to ME1 before I knew the game exisited but it didn't stop me loving every moment up to and between the end. Your loss really.
