I actually think that DA, like NWN2 before it, is going in the right direction with armor; most of the female armors that I saw on that site wouldn't work as adequate defense without magical assistance, which is counter to the game lore.Making the armor look like a female was wearing it at a distance would make it less effective at close range, which is where it needs to be most effective.

I just do not seem to get it and I probably never will, but lookout, when the day does arrive the the proverbial light bulb goes off in my head, I will be sure to truly answer a persons question with results and easy to read and understand steps for accomplishing it. I can recall a few from the NWN forums and the vault, there were people who not only were very smart, but knew how to express it and write it clearly. Now with this rant stated, keep on subject, not your personal point of view is needed, the lady cledwards asked for help with a more shapely armor, give her the help, not your opinion. if this was a "Social" topic, that would be different.

There are tutorials on doing this in various places on the net, possbly even on the DA toolset wiki; the main holdup on actually using these in game is the fact that we do not have reliable import tools for the specific model format used by DA, taht work with this type of model.

Hello
Well I see where you are coming from; this topic is bound to prop up opinion, especially the way the question has been propped up.
In fact I am surprised that we do not have 3 pages on the exploitation of the female body.

Now at the end of the day it is a mod, ie people can or can not use it and I agree with you that the whole thread has turned up into a we do need it/we do not need it but really it is part of any software development processes. At the end games are made by people for people so the “social part” in unavoidable. That social part is a good indicator on what is other people interest with the project.
So may be not spot on topic but kind of related non the less

Fantastical elements does not justifies the removal of realistic elements, but not all people want accurate items that reflects actual history. Sense of belief is more or less a personal taste, especially so when we are playing games. Where else can we see the infamous bikini chainmails? (Before anyone points it out, yes, Princess Leia did wear something similar, but Star Wars is also a Space Fantasy if I may add)

Personally I don't understand why no fantasy games feature bathrooms; 'unrealistic' FPS games, where you duck and hide to magically revive your health, shows stools and urinals more often than their medieval cousins. But I don't really complain about it, despite all the eating featured in games never show any activities related to bowel movements and that's totally unrealistic.

Now, if someone wants to remove the 'drink from the toilet to restore health and add radiation' feature from Fallout 3 because they found the very idea disturbing, I won't say "That's perfectly acceptable in the Fallout world, it's accurate to the lore." It's a mod; they can modify their game however they like, and share it with whomever likes it.

We are talking about custom contents here. If you don't like it, don't download it. As long as the mod is not based on criminal / offensive ideas, why not let someone else who finds it interesting / appealing enough to enjoy it?

That's because in a medieval setting your bathroom was usually the nearest tree....

Not everyone had family names, either. Only nobles did until the 17th century (depending on the region). We can go about the medieval details as such, but I believe you got my point with the previous post?

Even some noble families didn't have last names. Unless you count the various iterations of "Son of..."

This is what coat of arms were for... there is only one Willfred of Konigswald.Posted Image
That being said people with a little influence or money has a family name.
Jacque Coeur, john Hawkwood,  Sforza family.

As far as toilets are concerned, you do have a very nice stone seat toilet in the palace of Jacque Coeur in Bourges (France).
Game wise it is quite obvious that you do you toilet run and ablution when you camp.

Seriously though
that reality vrs fantasy debate is kind of strangely sur-real.

Before I practiced jousting or medieval fencing a fair bit of what I have read and even now do, I would have considered well in Doolali land
You do not need to go to the toilets to find example of unrealism,

For example
Charging full speed at your opponent you can deflect his lance tip and hit him
Or using handling some medieval sword in museum you think that light sabres are slow and clumsy.
Or cutting a pig Caracas in two with a long sword is in fact quite easy let alone a proper two hander
Or there is some wrestling at the sword move that make some of the finish of strike in the game look tame.

This goes both ways
You can not put a full plate on your own.
Cutting people in plate will not work

The mod isnt ready yet, give it one or two weeks as i am working on it in my offtime, It will be changing plate armor to be more fitting to the female form, and changing the appearance of other armor types(optional)
