Bioware, please. I swear to God that I will buy Ending DLC.

I agree with this guy.
Oh, and maybe a better ending.

But I don't think Bioware anticipated this volume of negative reaction, and so I wouldn't interpret charging for ending DLC as a pure cash grab. I would pay, say, ten bucks for it. More than that and I'll just go with my personal pretend ending.
But IMO they shouldn't charge. I have some faith that Bioware (Bioware, not EA) is in this for something more than money. But if I'm being honest I would pay a reasonable amount for ending DLC.

I've got to say, I kind of think it's funny how often people are comparing Mass Effect's ending to Evangelion's. As a teen, I loved the series and it's bringing back all kinds of nostalgia just thinking about it.
I hope you can understand the hilariousness of this statement. Please, do not take snark from this response:
EVANGELION WAS RETCONNED LATER! One might call it... Downloadable Content.
That is, they made the movie that utterly changed the ending to something not silly and shallow-while-trying-to-be-deep.

"Hey, we have more money. If you can get us more story, we'll give you more money!"
Artistic differences can't be an issue considering the change in writers over the trilogy.
It's definitely not fear of continuity breaks in the story, considering the ending pretty much negates many significant events in the trilogy as a whole.
And I really don't imagine it to be an implementation issue, considering we aren't asking for brand new squadmates, so no new voice acting contracts or messing around with hard coded features like the squad select screen.
In fact, following that train of thought, even a pre-rendered movie file would suffice. Some attempt at closure.
I guess the least we can hope for is community acknowledgment.

I take no snark! All is well!
Evangelion was retconned by Anno later in movie form because his producer's thought that End of Evangelion was too gruesome for TV and his budget was all gone. He WANTED End of Evangelion to be the true ending to the series, but was unable due to his producers and budget. Thankfully he was able to fix that ending.
I never said DLC is out of the question either, but the situation is a little different. Anno wanted Evangelion to end the way EoE did, but was forced to do episodes 25-26. Mass Effect 3's ending seemed to be planned that way all along, or at least since the script was leaked late last year.

I just want an ending that's relevant to my choices. The game has been so amazing, up until the end..
The final goodbeyes. Them making it seem like there was hope for me to be with them again was just a dagger to the back. Don't give me hope if you know for a fact I will never see them again.
And why make it so everything is just nullified by the ending? WHY!? WHHHYYY!!???
Man, this hurt more than anything else. At the time, I was actually thinking I would make it back and have a reunion with everyone in the final cutscene. Every single Bioware game to date that I've played has had at least one positive ending where you really do overcome all the odds. What on Earth changed...?
Either we get some DLC or I'll have to go write a fanfic. I think we'd all prefer the former.

I said it before, I'll say it again. I will give BioWare a blank check with which they can put whatever price they want on it, if I can receive a "true" ending to ME3.

Holy crap so would I !
After playing ME3's ending I sat back and compared it to Evangelion's ending (original). Because both left me going "wtf just happened? This isn't even close to what I thought this would end like when I finished the first few episodes."
But if you dig deep. And I do mean DEEEEEEEP! Into the orignal Evangelion there is an under layed reasoning and build up to the ending. Sure you had to hit the forums and rewatch some stuff. But after all the findings you piece something together. (Or give up mad as hell.)
But ME3 is not that. I cried after the final Evangelion movie. I wanted to punch someone for what a waste of time ME series was with this ending.
What would totally awesome is if Bioware made DLC that went back into all three games for an ending like nothing else. By adding things or quips of info and speech. Even if the graphics didn't make sense. It would be the biggest thing in game history.
Also I love the new Evangelion movie rebuilds.
Mass Effect 3 endings want to be Evangelion and End Of Evangelion and fail so badly its laughable... After the ending of EOE... I was doing a my thinking man impression for months... the end of Mass Effect 3 has my flpping tables it so bad.. EOE was planed from the start to end like the way that it was and it was marvelous... Mass Effect 3 ending is a failed attempt at trying to be that, they could have done a Earn Your happy Ending being the best and complete FUBAR if you just disregarde eveything.
and yes the Rebuilds are GREAT can't wait for the next to come.
