It's a matter of perspective. She looks much better than most femshep I've seen.

It's not perfect but it's pretty close. Bare in mind the advertisement pic is from a different angle to the cc pic

More to the point why the **** is the default femshep compeltely different to the default ones from the past TWO games.

She looks terrible btw, one of the worst detailed characters in the game.
That's funny, cuz a worthless character like Diana Allers is much more detailed and has unique face model. POOR
Increase the budget pls, this game costs 60 bucks.
Oh wait, minumum budget - maximum profit © EA.

I've done a better job in the character creator in ME2
This was done when ME2 came out!

Oh no they lied to us!! False advertisement!!! class lawsuit!!! Hold the line!!!

Actually no, blame Bioware in using a nymphette lolita imagine to depict a 34 year old woman in advertisement.

I never had this problem with the "default" femShep appearing with brown hair though, is always redhead.

But my "default" Shepard will be always her:

I miss her dimples though, in the "new"engine the face animation don't form them correctly most of the time.

Kinda sad that it's easier to make a better looking FemShep than default. I still can't believe the FemShep #4 didn't win. The design that won looks like she'd be voiced by Jen Taylor (Zoey on L4D).

Hey at least the hair is there. Besides I customize all of my Shepards.

Lighting and angles also play a part in it. In some scenes, default Femshep actually looks decent, in other scenes... she looks god awful.

Yeah she still looks goofy in-game. Like a cartoon character.

Agreed, I find her horrid.

Meh. Her concept art looks like a teenage Natalie Portman. Her render looks like...a slightly screwed version of the concept art. The model was created by hand, not face map, so it's unsurprising it doesn't look exact. Can't say I care.

Still, original Jane looked better. They should have just tweaked that.

Wish they would have scanned someone like they did with Sheploo. He looks fantastic.

I don't think she's a bad character model but she's WAY too cartoony when compared to everyone else in the game.

I don't know why they changed the default character, there was nothing wrong with the one in ME1 and ME2.

The in game character creation frankly, sucks. I'm really hoping that the people who made the Head Morph Mod for ME2 make one for ME3, as people were able to make some really amazing faces with it.

I really like the new one better. OP's complaints don't convince.

If I was her I'd sue her plastic surgeon... Seriously.

The ironic thing is that the previous default femshep, which used to look not good on ME1 and 2, is now a preset on ME3 and she actually looks good!

Never heard of that, and google doesn't seem to know either. Where did you get it?

Jawline is a little too much imo, but it looks close to (sort of) close to the art though.

I'm actually pleased that the in game model doesn't look like the artwork. The artwork looks like she should be competing for Miss Teen USA, not out saving the galaxy. They'd have to take out anything that takes place in a bar, because there's no way she's old enough. The in game model looks more mature. Still not perfect, but certainly better than the artwork. My personal favorite... actually my personal favorite is the one I created in ME1 :) but after that, I like the version from the Take Earth Back trailer.

The jaw is off, but otherwise, I love the look.

OP, not sure why her hair is brown. It shouldn't be.

At all.

probably has the color temperature option on his tv set to cool or warm instead of default. it turns red heads brown in my experience.
