I know in order for shepard to survive ,you need to get 5k ems and such
Instead of replaying over,I just want to know can shepard survive in the control or symthesize ending?
According to ign guides,shepard can survive in the control ending.
Can only shepard live in the destroy ending?

I did see that IGN said Shepard can survive in the Control ending. However, I'm not willing to put myself through that emotional torture again.

The ending where you shoot the glass and kill the reapers and all synthetic life, theres a scene that shows shepard covered in rocks and he takes a breath.

"Destroy" is the only ending where Shepard lives. IGN has a misprint.

It makes no sense him surviving in the destroy ending, since he is still being held together by bits of the lazarus project.

The IGN wiki entry on endings looks to be written by a prepubescent C student. It's a wiki. Not the Gospel truth. They even have a note there pleading for confirmation.

Prima strategy guide (for whatever that's worth) also says Destroy is the ending Shepard lives. Not the other 2.

Yeah because the StarChild ensures Shepard is aware of this fact. Back on topic, no, Shepard can only survive the destroy ending.

Effective Military Strength (the last word might be wrong). It's the amount of your Total Military Strength that's actually effective (playing Multiplayer causes more of the assets to be effective).

No, he doesn't. When people say he "lives" they mean that the Illusive Man doesn't shoot him in the back so he survives long enough for you to have that last conversation with him.Nashiktal wrote...

But that happens even at lower ems. I got the conversation at 3500 ems. Or is the conversation longer after a certain ems score?
So there's an option where you don't even get that conversation? I thought it was canon.

What he means is that at 4k, for Sheperd to live you have to "save" Anderson. At 5k, he can die and Sheperd will still live.Annaka wrote...

Collectors Edition Prima strat guide for Mass Effect 3 says the only way Shepard survives is the destroy ending.
I also had the middle and destroy ending and can say for 100% destroy you survive.

Basically, Anderson surviving gives you a 1k boost to your Effective Military Strength for purposes of determining your ending, which can prevent The Misfire, or allow Shepard to survive if it was insufficient without.

Really Synergy. So you want Shepard to become part of a Reaper and still be Shepard?
The Sequence is your choice of what you are going to do. Give up, Turn yourself in, or FIGHT.
Synergy = The ME2 Blender and pumped into a Reaper
Taking Control = Taken control of by the Reapers you are Indoctrinated. You Die.
Destroying = Destroy the Reaper in your head trying to influence you. Notice as you try to save the kid it keeps burning. The final one you are burning with the kid. The thought process is Infection. This why if you destroy it you will either live or Die based on the amount of help you have.
