At lower EMS things happen like Earth being devestated no matter what you choose. If your score is low enough you don't even get the Synthesis ending option.Annaka wrote...

at least that what i know.
Don't you mean the other way around? 5K anderson lives?
It makes more sense that way.WhiteJoker wrote...

Ah I see. So does Anderson actually live if you have less ems? That seems weird to me.
he doesn't. When people say he "lives" they mean that the Illusive Man
doesn't shoot him in the back so he survives long enough for you to
have that last conversation with him.
But that happens even at lower ems. I got the conversation at 3500 ems. Or is the conversation longer after a certain ems score?
So there's an option where you don't even get that conversation? I thought it was canon.
Can only shepard live in the destroy ending?

My fleet values are:
total strength: 7210
effective strength: 5700+
readyness (mp): 80%
And I save Anderson.
What is my problem? Maybe a bug? I`am a Paragon with 60-65%. Is it to low?
I don´t understand why i can`t get the breath ending.

I've just finished the game with the Destroy ending, EMS at 5711 and Readiness at 82 %, and I've got the same problem. No breathing Shepard, just Normandy landing on the planet and then stargazers.
The high enough EMS when you begin the Cerberus HQ mission and the Destroy ending were something, which I, as well as others reporting this issue at various places online, had.
The 'problem' though was that after a very long playing session, I messed up the colours and chose the 'blue' Control ending due to 'blue = paragon & red = renegade->controlling the reapers sounds so renegade->avoid red'. Well, it's stupid and wiping out the Geth and Joker's gf is not particularly nice and the Reapers flying away to blow up elsewhere is suspicious.
The EMS Cerberus HQ thing and choosing the 'red ending' will therefore lead to seeing the few secs of hope or whatever it is.

I did see that IGN said Shepard can survive in the Control ending. However, I'm not willing to put myself through that emotional torture again.
is IGN like, confermed to be the real deal, or are they just idk assuming things?

Your taking the ending literally, which you are not suposed to. Shepard is being indoctrinated and the detroy option is the only way to fight indoctrination, hense why you can only get the deep breath ending with the destroy option.Ultramonkey88 wrote...
It makes no sense him surviving in the destroy ending, since he is still being held together by bits of the lazarus project.
If you choose synthesis like Saren or control like TIM, you become indoctrinated.
You can have 10000 EMS and you wont get deep breath unless you choose the destroy.

Im very sorry, I can't explain then. but it is basically the only thing worth watching and the only thing that matters in the whole collective of endings...

Control: In short, Shepard's body will be destroyed, he/she will be turned into a synthetic energy in order to take full control of the Reaper race.
Synthesis: Same with Control but his/her energy will be added to the Crucible and making all organic and synthetic into half machine/organic.
Child: Organics seek perfection from technology, systhetics seek perfection through understanding.
Destroy: ALL synthetic races including the Geth will be destroyed, the Child says that Shepard will be as well due to him/her being partly snthetic, but some how survives, or that could be her/his last breth, no one still knows yet.

Control - you die
Synthesis - you die
Destroy - he never tells you. He just says "even you are part synthetic" -- basically "please. just please don't pick this one."
Refuse - you die
