Bioware, please give us a way to raise the readiness in the singleplayer! (Or set the standard readiness level to 75% in a patch!)

Hello Bioware.

At this point, it's pretty much impossible to get the 5000 EMS points you need, for the absolute "best ending". This goes against everything we were promised by Bioware in various interviews and on twitter. Yes, reaching the 5000 mark may be possible, if you follow a VERY linear path and do some VERY terrible things, that would be totally out of character for many's Sheps!

Why is there no way to raise the readiness in the singleplayer portion of the game?! Like, Collecting stuff like statues and other artifacts for the species, shouldn't that increase the readiness? It even says in the game, that these objects will 'remind the volus why they fight' and so forth. It would make a lot more sense.

At this point, everyone who don't want to play the MP, will always have to look at that 50% half filled bar on the war assets screen no matter what they do. How is that fair? Bioware promised us that MP would be a way for some to reach the best ending, without completing the SP 100%. And that's fair enough. But why do everyone else have to be punished like that? Why couldn't you (Bioware) not just leave the readiness at 100% at deafult, and then give the people who play MP an option to raise it to, let's say 150%?!

The current system is a mistake, and needs fixing. Either raise the default readiness to 100%, or up the values of all the different war assets.

That'll be all.

The fact that you can't simply choose one path to get max anything is actually perfect.  I love how that happened, and I love that, as a result of it, my initial run had probably the bleakest chance of success possible.

If you want max readiness, make tough decisions or cheat and play multiplayer.  Any other way would make the entire system kind of unnecessary.

What about through NG+? Would your GR level transfer over with everything else and allow you to raise it the rest of the way needed?

........uh, I really hate to burst your bubble here, but I ended my first playthrough with over 6000 in military strength. And I never used the multiplayer (Galactic Readiness was at 50% in every theatre). And as for doing terrible things...I was almost entirely Paragon at the end of the game. So, I honeslt don't know what you did wrong.

There's a difference between military strength and the EMS.

TMS being at 6,000 has nothing to do with it. Your EMS has to be at 4,000+”Save Anderson” to get the “Best Ending”, otherwise you need 5,000 EMS.

Ah yes, I misspoke. I've seen the numbers. Let me clarify: my EMS was completely full. I did, in fact, have all three options available to me (and saved Anderson as well) and I did that in my first playthrough.

Yeah, the green bar being full doesn't mean anything toward getting Deep Breath, which is the extra little conclusion tacked on to the end of “Destroy”. You can get all three endings and "Save Anderson" without having 4,000 points, but you cannot get Deep Breath without 4,000 EMS+ Save Anderson or 5,000 EMS.

Lots of people without even touching MP have gotten 5000+ EMS needed. And they followed their own paths, without guides or knowing anything about the results.
Trolling complaints afaik.

Of for the love of....yes, I know that. I'm saying I saw it, and did it on my first playthough. Yeesh!

I imported an ME2 save, of course. Perhaps that is the difference between my game and the OP.

You got 6,000 EMS without MP? Screenshot, please?

@Sardart

Who are these “lots of people”? Link, please?

*sigh* Yes, everyone knows what has been stated by the developers. That is not the point of contention. What is the point is this: No one has been able to do it without benefit of MP. A lot of people have claimed to do so, yet offer no proof other than this very link. Which really isn't any kind of proof at all.

That link is only the root of an issue that has already bloomed into another topic.

I'd like proof that shows that 'many people' have actually managed to dp this. Please post pictures.

It's impossible to get 4000+ EMS with an imported ME2 save. Impossible. Is that clear enough?

Gathering all available assets from scanning etc and making all the "correct" choices (as far as assets are concerned) nets you a TMS of approximately ~7400. With a readiness of 50% (no MP), you're well short of 4k EMS.

Apparently, it's possible to hit 4k with an imported ME3 save (new game +).

Unfortunately, this isn't the case. Others who have tried New Game+ have stated that you do not accumulate any more EMS points by doing this.

I couldn't figure that out at first either. Must be a console term I guess. It just means importing a save from an ME3 character that's already finished the game once. You keep all of your gear, levels, etc.

@KBomb: Crap, that sucks. I could've sworn I read that somewhere. I know you get an extra Intel or two.

Yes. I'm on my NG+ and only reputation points & character levels carry over. EMS/TMS does not.

It has it's origins in Chrono Trigger, which was the first game that I can think of that allowed you to replay the game with stats and inventory carried over from beating the game.  The option was called New Game +

There's no way, except cheats.
Just wait for a patch/dlc
