What Mari Caliban said. I'm not sure that those are supposed to be typical XBL DLC codes. I think all DLC gets handled through one central EA hub.
The cards with the codes on them should TELL you where to input them. Do they say to input them into the XBL "redeem code" feature, or do they tell you to go somewhere else?
My guess is, you enter the codes with EA, and then log in, within the game, to your EA account, and then you get access to the DLC.

If you can't redeem them on XBL, where else could a 360 owner redeem them?

You do redeem them through XBL, after your Live account is synced with your EA account. The codes he receieved supposedly do not work in XBL because he's supposed to redeem them through this site, through his EA account, then sync his accounts (or sync the accounts first?) and download the DLC though XBL.

My... how confusing.

Maria, you have a point. :)

Thanks Jesse for the update. If EA Customer Service Reps on the phone went into a tizzy I would guess they're not very well informed....

Just on an info note here:

I went to EB Games here in Ontario Canada about 1 hour ago to pay the remaining balance on my reserved copy (still have to wait until tomorrow to have it it though) and the Salesperson said that the codes for the PC versions (pre-order, CE bonus items) were in but had no idea where the XBox360 ones were?

Wait, you enter the redeem codes here?

But that would mean if the CE bonus items is tied only to my EA account, if my girlfriend tried to play the game under her gamertag she wouldn't get those items?

Palm-rest - I assumed that you entered them here on your account. The account automatically gets updated through your XBL system on game boot (assuming the game checks for updates on every reboot). Then, the items are downloaded. This would be similar to making changes on your EA Sports account for NHL '09, for instance.

kinda crappy if you don't  have a pc.

Okay tried what they said first they told me to try the 360 dash and enter the codes which doesnt work. Then the told me to go in game on live and from the title screen choose download content hit the Y button and try the codes, they worked ther. They appologized and said the way the instruction on the card is written and what xbox usesrs are used to that it emplied the dashboard but you must enter them in game and the codes now work today.

If your 'girlfriend' played on 'her' gamertag with your game and logged into YOUR EA ACCOUNT.  'She' would be fine.

These codes will not work on the Xbox Live code redeem feature.

You need to either redeem the code here on social - follow the link on the left under Profile. Or from within your 360, go to the DLC menu, then press Y to 'Redeem EA Code'.

wait, which DLC menu do you mean? the Game DLC menu or the dashboard DLC menu?

Yes I wonder what 360 owners with no PC Access are supposed to do, this doesn't seem to have been well thought out at all.

Not that this effects me as a PC gamer but still what where they thinking?

Hey, thanks for the heads up, I ordered my 360 copy from EA as well. Hopefully I won't have the same problem with the memory band and what not. They better send those codes for everything else fast as hell though or I'm going to making a few irate phone calls.

Are the codes completely different on the different systmes? Or can the codes be interchangeable? I ask because when I paid off my balance at gamestop they gave me a rave card. I waited to look at it till i got home and it was for xbox but I am getting it for the pc.

On the left of this screen.. under your picture.
You see the word  "profile".
Hover your mouse over it.. you will see "redeem promo code" in the list.

I'm guessing that is where you input it.
Most likely you can download it later on using some ingame menu logging in to the EA account.
(the flash game and its unlocks are added in a somewhat similar way when you think about it)

Edit : nevermind xD I see some people already have other, better, answers already.

The in game Download menu they said the description on the cards was too vague inplying the dashboard which is how all other 360 games work but this one (go figure). Also my EA items from Journeys and the create a character showed up by themselves. To get them you must access your EA account on a PC and follow the steps their to link your live account to it.
By the way since they had me log on live I told them if live banned me I would have them for it.

That makes no sense, as I understand it my EA account is tied to my gamertag, so how could she log into my EA account under her tag?

I got my copy from EA early. I was told I woud be emailed the codes for the memory band and fire band tomorrow however the codes for the blood armor, Stone prisoner and the collectors items dont work. Before you say well they wont work till tomorrow I know that but they wont work even then as they are the wrong length 16 characters instead of 25 that xbox live requires.
I sent EA in a hissy fit when I called. One they wanted to know how I got the game early I told them you shipped it to me too soon:) I told them about the codes, They have passed it up the corporate ladder and i am suppossed to get a email and phone call from them. Turns out the collectors editions 360  codes are wrong (alteast from EA anyway and probaby all of the 360 ones according to them)  and they told me if mine are wrong that means all copies may have bad codes they said they are glad that I called and informed them this is the first they have heard of the matter. they want more info from me on the matter. So I will update once there Q3 team calls me what ever that is.

StuartBoyer - do you mean you are already playing the game?  I just track my copy from Amazon in the mail.  Ill have it by tomorrow morning for sure.  how did you get it early?  At the risk of sounding ignorant, what role does EA play in the production of a Bioware game?

I was moslty talking about people who don't have PCs.

So how do I sync my XBL account with my EA account?

For those without an Xbox....

When you buy content on the Xbox Live Marketplace the content is tied to that gamertag. However, ANYONE who has a gamertag on that Xbox will benefit from whatever DLC was purchased. The only way other users could not use whatever DLC was purchased is if that gamertag was removed from the machine.

With that said, how will this work here? I would hope that if I download content for one gamertag all would be able to benefit on my machine.

There is already a Bioware reply in this topic that if you don't have a pc, you can just redeem it in the DLC menu in the game.

04WigmoreB,

I'm referring to accessibility for users other than the purchaser who may or may not have an EA account.

For example, if I buy the Warden's Keep with my gamertag and my EA account. Will my son be able to play the Warden's Keep under his own gamertag?

Yes, this is my concern as well, I want to make sure someone else who plays the game on my Xbox can get all the benefits of the CE that I ordered,  I know they can't get the DAJ items that I unlocked because that is tied to my EA account, but I want to make sure the CE special items and pre-order bonus items will not be restricted to only my tag.

Ah, well I would assume so. Pretty much all DLC on the 360 works that way (As long as the account that downloaded it remains), so I don't see why it wouldn't work with this game. But then I guess I don't know for sure, so ... this reply may have been a bit useless ... Oh well, that sounds about right for me ...
