I wanted to punt him, seriously. I never liked that child throughout the game, and to have him as the last person you ever spoke to was insulting.
He gives me an immovable ultimatum and expects me to agree with it.
I really couldn't get my head around what the ending finally came to.
My hands slipped away from the keyboard and mouse, limply and I just sat there blinking.
I felt sick, a common reaction among most of us.
It took me a while to chose a path, and when I did so, I was horrified to find out that I couldn't even change my mind. Shepherd started to Autowalk. I couldn't even steel myself against what I was about to do. It was like someone was saying "Ha! Got you! Now sit back and watch as I f**k things up!"
That was by far the worst part of it. Taking my hands away from the controls and watching Shepherd die without any way to affect the outcome.
Goddammit.
+1 this,

I would have even felt better if the kid only had one line: "you're running out of time" I haven't found any explanations (had hopes from the indoctrination theory that this was all on purpose) except they got lazy.

For some reason I went for the synthesis ending. It was when Liara smiled in the flashback, with Shepard disintegrating just after, that I fell into a depressed daze, and sat gutted at the end of my bed while the credits rolled. Stargazer offered some hope for a millisecond but that hope rapidly died. I then jumped on BSN to see if that was really the ending.
So yeah...

Until that dlc screen, all I could think was, that's the best they came up with? Ripping off Deus Ex's endings? Since then it's been disappointment.

Confused mostly.
Then I accidentally found myself in the synthesis ending because I didn't understand how the choosing worked.
Then I just kind of, stared at my screen in disbelief.
Then I quit the game and started posting on here in rage.
Exactly this, actually. Kind of numbed in confusion disbelief of what was going on during/right after the convo
