I'm glad I went through it before knowing that EIGHT writers worked on it and couldn't stick to their own lore and continuity. My thoughts would have been different.

Wondering why I couldn't click on him again to ask for clarification or to dispute some of the claims that he made. I ended up staring at the screen in disbelief for awhile before having Shepard hobble around in circles due to indecision... > x>;;
And wondering why it looked like that kid beause, really?

Pretty much my reaction as well.

This.

I tripped out so badly I forgot which choice was what. Googled, didn't give me answers, bolted headlong into the middle, turned everyone green.

Yeah I had a bad cold when I beat the game and I could hardly tell what beam was what. I just shot the kid a few times cause darn it, I really did want to look for a different option out of the terrible choices presented. I wanted to find shepard's answer to the kobayashi maru. When that didn't work I gave up, hobbled down to the biggest glowy light and everything went green.

I found that entire conversation with him BS.

Why there was no option to argue, to go against him, that just NOT Shepard's character. He's not a stupid sheep but he sure acted like one in that final scene.

Asking star child stupid questions, just accepting his replies, taking him seriously, WTF is wrong with you Shepard?

Loads of confusion. I couldn't believe after hours of playthrough, the one definitive authority figure-end was ... a kid. After confronting the Illusive Man and having that moment with Anderson, a kid tells me I have three choices. I just couldn't take him seriously, no matter how symbolic his image might be.

I was left with so many unanswered questions. :/

My reaction was disbelief. I literally thought "THAT"S why the Reapers were created. To prevent organics and synthetics from fighting each other?"

I kind hoped that BioWare wouldn't tell us the real reason why the Reapers were created so that we can come up with our own theories and speculations. I was hoping that we wouldn't no the reason for their existence because Sovereign and Harbinger gave me the impression that they were literally so superior to us that we organics could not even fathom their creation nor their reasoning behind the mass extinctions.

Instead, they were just synthetics used to kill organics so that organics wouldn't be killed by synthetics. I guess in a way I still don't fathom the reason for the Reapers existence, but the beauty of the mystery is gone and is just replaced by....disappointment.

When the ending did occur, the BioWare forums were the firs place I checked to see if I was the only one un-happy with the ending.

I sat back in my chair and stared at the screen for several minutes, and then I started to feel sick and was just like, ok, lets get this over with... and then i destroyed the reapers and end cutscene... and then i went to bed at three in the afternoon and had nightmares about bioware

Me too.  I hobbled around for awhile in a state of confused horror, turning around every so often to fire off another dozen bullets while gibbering at my television.

Me too.  Except it was six in the morning.  My dog looked at me with this sad face, like, "I understand."

I immediately thought of my conversation with Garrus back on the Normandy about leaders having to make impossible decisions. And thought, damn, this has got to be the ultimate impossible decision.

Then I realized that I couldn't remember which light did what. So I went to investigate the Blue Light. And thought, holy crap, I can't go back!!!

Pretty much picked control, watched the lightshow, and then logged onto the forums looking for an explaination for this BS after Buzz Aldrin was done creeping on that weird kid in the Google images scene.

Gotta love :wizard:.

I thought to myself why should I trust this kid and why the hell is Shepard blindly trusting everything this kid says? I sure as hell don't and his logic isn't trustworthy.

shot him, walked over, shot pipe, and said mission accomplished.

I don't care if Synthesis was supposed to be the perfect ending, or if the catalyst wanted me to choose the Blue or Green ending: My mission since ME1 was to destroy the Reapers...and I've sacrificed too much to let some ghost brat kid lie to me.

In Other Words: How I felt about choosing Destroy

I walked right up to the "destroy tank" and hoped to get a clarification of some kind, or maybe a new dialog that made sense out of the situation... Nooe... That did not happen...

I just sat there dumbfounded that I was being railroaded into these options that my Shepard would have none of.

I tarried about just becoming more and more angry about it all the while thinking I had screwed up somewhere.

I finally limped up to the red pipe, but was so pissed and thought - "This can't be right!" - so I limped back to the reaperchild to try to kill it or get a different dialogue option or anything. Then suddenly the game terminated with a message that the reapers destroyed the catalyst and that I had failed.

Thus, on my first try, I was so stupefied that I ran out of time, lost and had to re-load.

By the time I finished the game and the cutscenes I was livid: it was the worst ending to a memorable narrative I had ever experienced in any media. LOL.

Mostly I laughed. Laughed in total disbelief. The the laughing slowly turned into crying loudly knowing I'll never see my little blue children...

Confused mostly.

Then I accidentally found myself in the synthesis ending because I didn't understand how the choosing worked.

Then I just kind of, stared at my screen in disbelief.

Then I quit the game and started posting on here in rage.

Oh my god, that is exactly what happened to me as well. Then I researched (still in horror), did it again and chose "destroy". The horrific feeling did not go away though.

Well and here I am today, not giving a single f**** anymore about Mass Effect 3 - I dont know why actually everybody now seems so excited about the Leviathan DLC, when a few months ago everybody was like "nooo way I'm buying future DLC if it doesnt take place AFTER the ending".  At least I am still deeply disappointed by BW and will be very very careful in buying future games with that trademark, if at all.
