Well I thought I had misheard him or something. I was truly left shocked. I wasn't even completely sure what he had said to me, actually. The I got to see my Mass Effect universe crumble from picking the Blue pill

I played through the game without reading ANY spoilers beforehand...

From the moment Shepard got up after Harbinger's beam incinerated everything, including my own armor, I seriously expected Bioware was telling me that this was shepard's own personal hell. That She didn't make it. That her need to make it was the source of that hell. all of the bodies dripping in blood on the Citadel reinforced this notion.

I was also considering indoctrination. It'd always struck me as odd that Shepard, having spent a fair amount of time around reapers over the course of 3 games, had yet to be influenced by this deadly mind game.

Then an indoctrinated IM came in, made me shoot Anderson, and I started questioning everything again. So I came to the notion that this wasn't a dream. My skin just happened to not be charred to a crisp like my body armor.... Then we won. I smiled. I thought to myself... This was a worthy ending.....

A rush of bitter-sweet satisfaction came over me. I thought of Ashley... Legion... Thane......

Anderson...

Then this A.I. shows up. "WHAT.... THE... F***?", I think. "Your logic is so flawed it isn't even funny. NOTHING in the entire franchise ever alluded to this. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

I seriously sat there for like 10 mins staring blankly at the screen. none of the options made logical sense, and none of them seemed like a choice my shepard would make.

I turned off my monitor, ran straight ahead, and the next thing I know, I'm playing a NG+, with no intent of exposing myself to that child again. It ends with Anderson and I sitting next to each other.

If they had just made 2 minor changes, I would've been OK with the endings. (Not pleased or happy, but OK).

1) Don't destroy the Mass Relays. Or at least have a little scene showing that FTL travel on a similar level came back.
2) Don't make the Destroy option kill the Geth and EDI. Or at least give me an "I live" option that doesn't involve me doing the other genocide I started back on Rannock (without realizing it, heh), and killing off what was IMO the most interesting character development in ME3.

yeah excatly. It makes no sense that i have to wipe out EDI, the Geth and any other "friendly" or "useful" synthetic inteligence.
I mean... i just made peace between Geth and Quarians 5 minutes ago and EDI became one of sheps best friends, too.
Hell EDI even fall in  "love" with a human beeing (Joker) and has no reason to ever kill all forms of organic life!

The explanation of that stupid child, that all "products" will rebell against their makers is just plain stupid :(.

The Reapers are the evil boys!

I think my partner wished he had a camera to capture the look on my face. A good, full ten minutes of complete WTF followed by disbelief and then bewildered despondency. And then a trip to google to see if the other endings were better. The Downfall parody I found next made me laugh at least.

It's not that it's a downer ending. I'm partial to a good downer ending as appropriate. It's just that... it doesn't fit.

I just couldn't believe what happened and realized I only had 2 options (50% combat w/e is BS). After a few seconds to collect my thoughts, I chose to walk towards the blue path; I didn't realize which path was which cause my mind was in such disarray. I realized I picked control, and overall I felt happy in a way, but I do not really accept this ending. I could have accepted sheperd controlling the reapers and therefore losing his life, but what I couldn't except was the stupid mass relay destruction with normandy running away and the people who were with me ended up being on normandy.

It would have been ever more appropriate to say my goodbyes to my LI before making my decision; or even have a scene where the LI acknowledges my sacrifice/choice.

I shot the space kid ghost. Then in my rage I destroyed all the things by going right. If it ends this ****ty at least i'm taking the reapers down with me. screw the consequences. I then read these forums, and watched the other endings on youtube to see if they were any better.

Alas i've made my peace. I can make my Shep live, I can save earth, and I can defeat the Reapers. And in my head, I can imagine my shep and his LI are reunited and not stranded on some godamn planet and I can imagine that by destroying or controlling I also destroy or control and make suicide the god damned space child ghost.

My reaction:

What? If I go back to my last save, I've got to completely redo that entire last, hard fight. Does he really mean "all synthetics...?"

ALT+Tabs to YouTube. "I'm not even 100% certain where to go to select my endings. I might select the wrong one on accident while trying to look around."

(But as it turns out, it was all a ruse. I guess I should have seen it.)

My 87% Paragon Shepard walked towards the red light, because all I saw at that moment was rage.

First time round: "What. The. Sh*t!?!?" (My screen almost died)

Second time round on YouTube: "F***. It doesn't get any better."

Confusion.

a) I just proved you could make peace between organics and synthetics (Geth/Quarian)
B) The choices presented are just so strange.
b1) If he is in control, then he must have a way to stop/destroy the reapers without blowing up the relays or he is not in control.
b2) Synthesis will not guarantee anything like peace.

So I was confused like hell.

After he finished talking and Shepard was left standing there to make his choice... I seriously jumped up from my seat and kind of panicked. All I could think was "what the hell is this? How can I possibly make one of these choices?" So I grabbed my laptop and tried to search for what to do. Eventually I went for destroy since that is what I spent three games fighting to do and was just as sad as everyone else that's completed the game, save a handful of people.

Actually after the Harbinger beam I was terrified. And in a good way. I appreciate that they showed us what would happen if Shepard failed and they showed us the hell. But despite that Shepard goes forward and forward, determined to finish this. Nice emotional ride for me.

And the the bit with Anderson that was heartbreaking. (They could leave the dialogue with settling down thing)

But then after accidentantaly chosing the middle option, that left me completely confused....
No.
Even more because as Joker fangirl, I hate edi soo...

TL:DR version was my reaction was: WTF?! 0.o and not the good kind either.

Well, my first thought when he showed up and before he really started talking was "Oh great, Bioware added some mythical God deity didn't they?"

Then when he stopped talking I was extremely confused and just sort of blankly started at the pause menu. And then after thinking about the whole thing after getting hit with the laser beam I was sorta feeling like this was like the false resolution in the movie "Brazil."

Then of course I checked on websites to read about the hell was going on, only to be met with disappointment.
