The Fall of Thessia. You just feel so totally owned and impotently angry and then the comms chatter from doomed Asari asking if it was all worth it and you know that no, it wasn't.

I didn't even think about that one. That one brought out a wide range of emotions.

Ashley passed out on the floor. (I really hated her but that was good)
Walking in on Garrus and Tali making out (Garrus got his mandible stuck on her mask)

when do these happen?

I forget with Ashley, it was in the middle of the game. Samantha Traynor tells you Ashley wants to speak to you in Observation deck.

Garrus and Tali, you go to the Weapons Battery right before you go to Earth.

Thane's death, Mordin's death, Legion's death.... man, when Legion and Tali talk about geth having souls right before he sacrifices himself, that was quite sad. I laughed when I shot Udina dead and when I stabbed the up Kai Leng. Wrex's every word was gold. Tali and Shepard flirting during that first mission with her was hilarious for me and Garrus telling them to finally get a room.. There were a lot of funny moments for me. The game brought out a ton of emotions for me.

Oh, yes! I forgot about this. That was so defeating. Like Shepard, I was constantly playing the scenario back in my head. I couldn't shake the thought that I had done something wrong, and that it was possible to save Thessia. It was really the first time we saw Shepard truly fail, and that hit extremely hard.

I cried so hard from Mordin's death. He was one of my favorite characters from ME2. I was singing the "Scientist Salarain" song with him in his final moments. I had to reach for my tissue box afterwards.

So.. Just did the Geth Dreadnought mission. Then walked into Liara's office.
She and Joker were arguing over the intercom over whether or not her "head tentacles" moved or not.
I laughed for a good 10 minutes about that.

Grunt in his stand against the Rachni (when you save the queen) -- but I knew he was going to live since I google'd the choice beforehand <_< Very good scene.

Another great scene was the time capsule project from Liara.

Legion's sacrifice was great as well, as was Mordin's.

*ending spoiler*

And finally the ending. I chose "control the reapers" which was the most dramatic (Liara flashback was so sad)

I've not finished playing the game yet, though I am mentally prepared for what is to come. Having said that, despite the mental preparation - it isn't enough! Being much more sentimental than the average person, this is one of the few games that really twist all one's heart strings.

Let's start with the Good!

The reconciliation with old friends are always great! Each one thus far always brought a smile. It reminds me of ME2, (Those whom play through from ME1) when you meet up again with Wrex, remember that scene? Remember the slow tune background music that accompanied it? I project the same when meeting up with the 'oldies' during ME3.

Laughed at Jack's effort to keep her speech clean. Had the biggest beaming smile knowing that she's now a teacher and so well respected - to see this once pissed off & angered teenage girl whom had such a hard life a victim of inhuman experiments, turned it all around. She's still in work in progress but still much progress.

Surprised happy when Kasumi revealed herself! Stalker! Smiled again when reminded that I allowed her to preserve her memories of her past.

Finding out that Grunt now leads a group on his own. This mirrors Jack's storyline. A tank bred krogan whom was seemingly an outcast, but due to Shepard's decision (and ties) is now well respected albeit with a few scars. He's the incarnation of Strength!

Meeting Garrus again, and the citadel outing. Finally Garrus has that stick out of his ass (c.f. Joker) and now Garrus does something fun!

Walking into the med bay accidentally hearing Joker asking for sex advice from Mordin with regards to EDI; Joker realizing that Shepard is in the room despite him wanting to hide it from Shepard.

Hearing that Mordin wish to end the genophage. Something he regretted though out of necessity - yet wanting to make things right! Go Mordin! Visiting him too before Tuchanka as he sings/hums whilst working brought smiles, especially while talking to the female Krogan.

The Waterfall moments.

These moments remind me of (for those whom played Final Fantasy 7) Aerith's death. Dare I say no one was prepared for this? Back then there were not many guides or forum boards or leaks where people could catch wind of what is to come in a game.

Despite being mentally prepared, I personally wasn't ready for the scenes.

Grunt's was the first one. When that sad piano piece started playing I feared the worst. Grunt was my squad mate often during ME2 Insanity runs across different Shepards due to the tank nature.
Thankfully he was just 'hungry' :)

Mordin's sacrifice was nothing lest than noble.

Thane. Thane was another character I leveraged heavily during ME2 due to his biotics especially during Collector Base mission. I actually thought to myself "HA! proof-reading error, the prayer they said "she" (female shepard) and when Kolyat explained, I lost it.

Over-hearing about the Refugee Teen and C-Sec officer. Small part wishes to cling on to hope, but would that be wishful thinking or should we accept reality for the teenage girl?

So far no one has mention about Samara in the monastery. I admit at first glance she can appear very very cold due to the fact that she is ultimately loyal to the code, but the fact that in order to uphold the code which she swore (more important than life itself) she doesn't wish to kill her daughter and very willingly puts a gun to her own head. Yes one point is to view her as being stupid-by-the-book, yet the other point is seeing a mother's love in action, one of ultimate sacrifice.

There were plenty of funny lines and situations in the game. Mordin's and Kane's death sure did tug on the hearth string a wee bit.

Pretty much everything to do with the Shep/Garrus romance had me laughing and crying, sometimes at the same time. The date on the Citadel was the highlight, of course. Romantic, hilarious, and moving at the same time, much like the romance in general. I loved how missing on purpose was the paragon option, and the comedy gold of the line that follows. In general though, seeing how their relationship had grown since they met way back in ME1 was really touching. "I love you, Garrus Vakarian" indeed.

Javik also made me weepy several times, especially in his final talk at the base. I know a lot of people dislike him because he's something of a jerk, but his whole character is just achingly sad to me because in a lot of ways, he's like Bad End!Shepard and a walking cautionary tale. For a DLC character, I thought he was really well done.

Outside of the already mentioned ones, I really enjoyed Garrus and Joker trading jokes, as well as every scene involving Wrex and Mordin.

Oh man i forgot samara about to pull a gun on herself and then i paragon interrupt her to stop her the Equivalent of grabbing an Saiyan by the tail. Mordin got an "Heck yeah!!!" out of me when he pulled the "Objection noted" electrocution on the other scientist. he also teared me up for more then just his song but also his comment when you first meet him "It had to be me anyone else might have made a mistake" and he repeats it right before he goes to his death. Charr moved me too "O Blue Rose of Illium, if these humble words reach you, then I have joined my ...
Let my broken bones build a wall around your garden, so you and the flower we
planted together can grow safe and strong." Oh and Telling Michael and Rebekah to make the most of the time they had left.

There was more but these I come to my mind:

Laugh: "I'm Garrus Vakarian and this is now my favourite spot on the citadel" scene

Did not exactly make me cry but closest to it: Moridin's and Thane's deaths

My three favorite tear-jerker moments.

1. Grunt coming out of the Rachni nest alive.
2. Mordin wanting to collect and study seashells.
3. "That's for Thane, you son of a ****."

Visting Ashley when she was conscious
Mordin's sacrifice.
Grunt holding off the reapers in the cave, thought he died for a minute there.

All the jokes about how Shepard would always hang up on the council and her awkward dancing.
Mordin talking about studying sea shells.
And all the moments between Joker and EDI.

I was honestly pulling for the ability to have an open-relationship with Miranda (LI in ME2) and Liara (LI in ME1). I not once turned down either of their advances, so I didn't see that scene. It just ended me with Liara, and Miranda... oddly didn't talk to me in that tone again.

Hey, Bioware, didn't you say there would be ramifications for cheating on your LI's? Yeah... ABOUT that...

At the end of the Rachni mission I totally started tearing up. When the piano music started and Grunt was like "go" I was like noooo! And when he went off the ledge I was in tears. But then he walked out of the cave covered in blood I was so happy. Grunt is a boss. And Mordin's sacrifice was extremely touching. As well as the love scene with Liara. And when my femshep cried while sitting with Anderson on the Citadel...too many good moments. Glad to see they were all in vain since they all die anyway...

And Javik was hilarious. I loved his sarcasm. Why he was a dlc is beyond me. Should have been in the game!
