I hope they crowd isn't full of sycophants and we get some intelligent people asking the right questions about the endings.

Why would there be human writing in this place that no one has been to ever though? The designers aren't that lazy that they'd disregard that.

Actually yes, yes they are.

They never quite removed all the traces from the indoctrination scene. Leaving us with a half-baked indoctrination theory instead. :wizard:

The other thing is, looking at those jpeg links, is that the image is mirrored opposite ways the times you see it either side of Shep and the last (vertical) image is a mirrored version.

The artbook mentions something about the hallway of dead bodies was intended to be at the Cerberus HQ, I believe. It's entirely possible some of the textures seen in the game at this point are from an earlier build where that section was still part of the Cerberus HQ and only later was moved to the citadel.

I can throw my one out here having used the UE3 a few times.

When you have an asset in the library (Like the 1m1 railing for example) and you need the same asset on the other side.. you just mirror it, you do not create a whole new asset just for that, it would be memory consuming if you did it everywhere in a scene, recycling is quite common.

The fact that 1m1 shows in ME1 too, probably just means that this is a code name for the infrastructures of the Citadel.

There is one huge plot hole in this logic: in ME people do not speak English nor use human characters to write, yet you see them often everywhere, that makes no sense, but it is artistic interpretation to make the viewer understand.

For instance the Afterlife club, or the Purgatory, would not actually have those titles spelled in English, but the equivalent of "Galactic" for Afterlife and Purgatory.

I also found it weird. The 1M1 aside, I think these rails look like the mass accelerator cannons of human cruisers. I think the whole place is made up of familiar textures (collector interiors, shadow broker ship parts, alliance and cerberus parts, etc, etc.

Could be seen as further indications for the IDT, could be remnants of the cut indoc section or could be simply lazy reuse of props. It's tough to say. I however don't believe in these crazy theories like "1 month 1 day", etc. It's too far fetched.

there has been "human" numbers/letters on the Citadel ince ME1, the Council Tower has a giant 08 on it.

You know that Blizzard did something that involved a mathematical puzzle for the release date of Diablo3?

Only 1 guy has come up with the answer, which was later on confirmed.

It is not uncommon for good game companies to do challenging mental puzzles.

What you should be asking yourself is why the hell these 1M1's are there in the first place.

Citadel was built by the Reapers, it is highly doubtful that they or the keepers have the need of any human or other races symbols all over the place.
Neither could they have been drawn by any of the galactic races, because this area of the Citadel is hidden and nobody knows about it.

But, of course, lazy devs could have just used recycled textures for all we know.

Sometimes a recycled texture is just a recycled texture. All the "IT" business can be explained by cut corners, rushed production, and lazy writing.
