@The Big Nothing: I'm curious... do you let the other members of your team talk to you casually?

Because I agree with you - I played a very formal military Shepard from the get go (yelled at Kaidan and Joker in the very first scene of ME 1) - but you're supporting a double standard if you wanted to be "bros" with Garrus - or had a LI with any of the ladies - and let them talk to you as anything other than "Commander Shepard".

@Volus Warlord: Why do you put on armor to burn rainbow flags... that's a little crazy.

Though I do agree with you - it's a knee jerk overreaction to suggest that a bunch of young straight males who are insecure with dealing with anything that doesn't support their machismo - is a "anti-gay crusade".

I didn't notice any lesbo 'harrassment' really. I romanced Liara so I'm not sure what happens if you turn her down but you can have dinner with Kelly and don't have to follow through with a relationship, you can play chess with Sam and just be friends with no hint of a romantic relationship at all, you can tell Chobot that you don't like her in that way and she tells you that she didn't mean it like that anyway.

On the other hand, Kaidan keeps pressing his suit with femshep even though I turned him down in ME1. Take the hint!

The worst is that FemShep decides to flirt with Vega sometimes just...cuz.

I don't mind if every dude on the ship tries to get with my FemShep...just don't force her to flirt with them.

Yeah, that's true, the autodialogue is a bit dodgy when it comes to Vega.

I RP my Shep as a lesbian so I chose to interpret that as her joking around with him; there's a bit where she challenges him to follow through and he totally backs down, which I thought was kind of hilarious. But they should definitely have given us the opportunity to NOT flirt with him.

Vega should have said: "Commander, I said "NO" and I mean it. This is sexual harassment and I may blog about it!"

Please use the existing thread in the Characters and Romance forum to discuss same-sex romances in ME3. As always, romances in our games are completely optional and player-initiated. While your own biases and tolerances and preferences may make it seem like "every gay person is hitting on you," I assure you that this is not the case, and you do have to click at least one romance/flirt option in order to start romance dialogues.

End of line.

As I was reading this thread, I was thinking for a way of fixing the problem.
How about adding a check box in character creator in future games , that when you enable it , the hit on by others are blocked for the entire gameplay with that character you've made ?
Personally I like it that others hit on my character so much, I take them as compliment :)

Cool thing is, that you can tell that you like women when the only gay character comes hitting on you. And be pals with him.

My Shepard only outwardly expresses anger and bits of dark humor. He doesn't run a tight ship, allowing people to do or say what they want as long as they respect other crew members and follow his orders. And he listens to his crew's problems, but is an instrumental problem-solver, not an emotional one. He let Tali cry alone over her dead father. But if she had asked him to carry the body back to the ship, he would have.
