Could have worded the OP a lot better, in my opinion.
Your actual issue seems to be the amount of lust you get from fellow crewmembers, not that 'everyone turns gay'.

Plus we don't really know how big a portion of people are LGBT in society because it's all still a bit taboo for folk and a few people will even lie on anonymous questionaires.

I personally didn't like how my FemShep had to flirt with boring Jacob in the second game if she wanted to be nice so I could ask why all the guys have to be straight for me. What I actually asked was "Why can't I act in a manner that tells Jacob that I'm good for a laugh but not for flirting?"

I'm annoyed that this always gets turned into an "omg everyone's gay" thing.

I really enjoy that tonnes of squadmates appear to be able to be flirted with/courted but from previous games I do agree that it might have been implemented better. Still, this post had me worried for a bit.

I also think there may be more bisexuality out there than some would think. I just don't think it's acted on as much in our society as of yet. In the end we're going to get to a point where no-one gives a crap. In my opinion. Of course this last part is PURE SPECULATION. Before anyone throws a fit.

Funny thing is the blue lesbian space-****s weren't a problem back in ME1/2. Because that was so very realistic.

So one guy hits on you, and you think that everyone is now gay? Sounds legit.

Where were all the whiners when Shiala HAD SEX with Shepard just because of an innocuous reply. Or when Liara and Ashley practically stuck themselves on you when you were nice to them?

Women have been easily fascinated by the male, occasionally the female, hero for a long while, but now it is a catastrophe when a bisexual and a gay man in a game full of heterosexual male fantasies do it as well?

You poor-poor man. How awful it must be to have been complimented by another man somehow!
Well, get used to it. Flirting happens, in real life and in-game. There are MANY options to say no, from what I have seen, so use those.

To be completely honest, it's because it hasn't affected me until now. And it doesn't feel good. I hate all the anti-gay bigots that yell "theyre forcing gay onto people!"... But I honestly feel like it's being forced on me now and it feels wrong. It's unwelcomed sexuality that's just inapropriate.

Like when my wife was getting into GLEE and EVERYONE became gay over night... Cmon guys... I understand gay rights is a current concern in the United States, But it's like 10% of the population, I wouldn't mind being 10% concerned about it.

I'm just tired of the constant bombardment. I understand already leave me alone and let me play my video games at least.

Oh my God... Stop whining and turn the guy down instead of killing him off. Just admit it that you're homophobe and move on. *sighs*

Somehow I don't think the OP would be complaing if all the "gay" interactions were lesbians.

If I can get over all the guys drooling onto my character's lap in any number of games then you can get over it too.

Exactly. Straight guys accept lesbian porn or romances but diss the man on man romances. Talk about a bunch of hypocrites. The world is changing, wether they like it or not. Adaptation is the keyword.

Actually... The problem is that romance in real life takes more than 2-5 compliments and sympathy sentences. So basically the problem is IRL. :D

I don't understand where my lack of aversion towards sexual encounters between genders I don't find sexually attractive comes from.

If that were the case, I would accuse Bioware of using shallow eroticism to attract the lowest common denominator of male consumers.

Instead, they're using shallow eroticism to attract the lowest common denominator of male and female consumers

Women by and large aren't attracted to male/male relationships. Not like men are attracted to female/female.

I don't get the problem.
I chose paragon with Cortez pretty much everywhere because my Shep is pretty empathetic with those who lost someone in the war.
As far as I can remember I also did the Paragon interrupt at the memorial Wall but other than patting him on the back an comforting Cortez nothing happened.

Then he went to that bar and the well known candy conversation popped up^^
Being the Bro Shep is and seeing that Cortez obviously has a good time Shep comments on the ladies and Cortez answers that he is glad Shep isn't any competition because he would not stand a chance.

So where exactly is a gay relationship forced on you and where aren't you able to be nice and still straight?
