Worked just fine. I didn't even know he could kill you until I saw this thread xD

On Insanity you have to chain headshots to stun him, no other way, shouldn't be a problem since it's permanent slowmotion and you got infinite ammo.

The key is to aim. Seriously. Hold down the zoom/aim button and actually wait for the crosshairs to turn red on his head then fire. Don't rapid fire at him... A clean headshot will likely stagger him and he is taken down with a couple shots.

Well, that's good. You got the appropriate ending. Just... don't do anything more Marauder Shields will save you every time

Took me like 7 or so tries on Insanity. On what I swore was the last attempt before turning down the difficulty I pulled it off.

It's such a LONG sequence you have to play through again each time you fail. Hated that. They really should have had an autosave shortly after you down the three husks (which, incidentally, managed to kill me once as well. Poor aim ftl).

You shouldn't have been able to die in that sequence at all, it really takes away from the impact of it.

I died fighting him twice.

The third time, I started moving off towards the Mako wreck to the right as soon as the husks popped up. After wasting those sods, I turned my reticule to where Marauder John would come around the corner, right where I had a good feeling his chest would be, and started movign forward and left. As soon as he showed up, I went Pulp Fiction on him. No divine intervention for him.

And they say Vanguards can't aim... I scoff at the notion.

I fought him.

It was insanity.

He killed me several times.

Until I realized I had to shoot him in the face, many a time.

I believed he stood against me as the other Marauders did

One shot to the face he stumbled back,

I followed with three more so he would no longer hold his line.

Past him I walked into the beam which promised salvation.

Only to find he was not my enemy, but closest friend.

Sent to save me from damnation by mine own hands.

Marauder Shields is the true, tragic hero of the game. Shepard is this crazy guy inplanted with reaper tech that goes on to detonate all the Mass Relays and wipe out every known star system in the galaxy. If Marauder Shields guns you down, the galaxy is saved.

He's a little easier on Xbox with kinect. Found that out last night while replaying the scene. Wife walked in and started talking, and shep tossed a grenade. Apparently kinect power access still works.
