On my 2nd play through of ME3, I've noticed that Liara is completely convinced of Asari superiority over all other species. After seeing husks, mauraders, and ravagers, she's still completely shocked that their could possibly be an Asari Reaper minion. She's not a very good scientist if she can't extrapolate from provided data into a logical conclusion, now is she?
Then, later, she's so surprised that the Asari homeworld could possibly be attacked, even after hearing about Earth, seeing Palaven, etc. Yeah, it's emotional when your home planet gets attacked, but the crew kind of goes over it when you see Palaven. So you'd think she would've been prepared for the same thing happening to her planet.
It really shows how superior she thinks her people are compared to everyone else when she refuses to look at the evidence in front of her face.
Liara is a racist! Err.. specist *spoilers*

Well...everyone thinks that the asari are superior to everyone else and that's because it's true. They're the most advanced species in the galaxy and we don't find out that this is blatantly cheating because they're using the Prothean artifact until after arriving on Thessia.
Of course, I wish Liara was right about the asari not being vulnerable because banshees are annoying as hell.
