Brilliant job Arkis. THIS should've been the ending. I only hope that Shepard and the whole squad and person that he/she cared about is reunited. I've grown TOO attached to these characters.

But I don't know, I would also give an option to REARRANGE maybe. I don't know if it's correct to throw away the Crucible project because the Catalyst and its effect is BS. It should be used somehow, it's the effort of past and current organic life. I don't really accept that all they could think of is destruction of the mass relays. Oh and...the destruction of the mass relays should totally obliterate everyone, except it didn't, did it? My head is too confused on this crap.

I would pay for this as DLC, it just makes sence.
However, I would put more emphesis on making the player choose the 4th option, as most people would choose this anyway.
This is what I think should happen if you choose the NEW 4th option depending on your EMS.
4950 to 5000 EMS - Reapers destroyed, Shepard survives, Earth saved. Crew survive. Life goes on.
4500 to 4950 EMS - Reapers destroyed, Shepard dies (bleeds out on Citadel), Earth destroyed. Crew survive. Life goes on.
4000 to 4499 EMS - Stalemate. Reapers are destroyed, but so is your army. Shepard dies, Earth destroyed. Crew die. Life Struggles to go on but does.
3500 to 3999 EMS - Reapers win. Earth Destroyed. Harbinger personaly come to the citadel to finish you off. Life ends.
3000 to 3499 EMS - [4th option unavalable] Synthesis option is avalable.
2500 to 2999 EMS - [4th and sythesis oprion unavalable] Only destroy or controle options abalable.
0000 to 2499 EMS - [No options avalable] The Catalyst deems you unworthy and forces you to watch the Reapers destroy Earth. Harbinger comes for you.
The different ending rely on your EMS rating, giving players the insentive to replay and get a higher score.
Thats my 2 cents.
I like it. One question. What about players who don't want to play multiplayer or can't? I haven't seen one person who achieved 4000+ EMS without touching multi yet.

Don't see why the kid needs to be a part of it still. Have harbinger play his role.
Also, it's kinda meh if we're suddenly able to beat the reapers in a straight up fight. It really takes away all the sense of fear and power you had concerning the reapers since game 1.
The key of the child is to have it remain true to the current endings. A complete revamp of the endings would most likely not be accepted very well either by those whom liked the currents ones or BioWare themselves. A common middleground would the best in all sense and purposes. After all BioWare doesn't really have to fix anything, do they?
As for defeating the reapers, it's highly likely that we would actually be able to do it. Never before have the reapers failed in such a way in which they've done now. We're coordinated, they are spread out, our leaders remains, the galaxy is united and for every reaper falling, we learn how to counter them even more. In ME1 a whole fleet was devasted to take down a single reaper. In ME2 research and upgrades were underway and new weapons and shields was developed and deployed which could sustain the heavy assult a reaper brings. In ME3 these upgrades have been shipped out to all species and a majority of the fleets, with a lot of other advances in all kinds of fields.
All in all, you forget the progress the galaxy made since the first game.
That said, I would actually argue that instead of building the Crucible, we should've built a massive reaper destroyer with extensive fire power and the capability to take down multiple reapers with a single shot. Given how quickly we built something as advanced and as big as the Cruicble, something similar more along these lines wouldn't have been an impossiblity.
Reapers are static and constant (at least as far as we know). Their sole technological progress can be made by harvesting whole civilizations. The galactic species are dynamic and capable of adapting. There's really no way for us to lose in a war of attrition (Protheans was scattered and had lost their intergalactic communication network, while the reapers controlled the mass relays from the citadel, etc, so it's not a dismissal of the strategy).

The biggest "Why didn't I think of this?" moment was reading about all the reasons WHY the Reapers were scared of our cycle, and why they themselves CAN be beaten. They're vulnerable for 50,000 years, they have to use underhanded tactics like the Citadel back door...it makes sense. The Reapers can be beaten, and they know it if the galaxy unites. In all the games, they've tried to avoid fighting a united galaxy by the element of surprise.

Maybe they just need to add a few more random finds on planets. I found there was a distinct lack of planet scans available but yet a crap load more fuel depots. I also love the idea you quoted!

Now THIS is something I can really get behind! It also makes for a decent epilogue should Bioware choose to add one (like in ME2) where you can talk to your crew after the fight, or have a little cut scene of Shepard with his/her LI and Crew (thus appeasing all the romantics out there.) Or if the Reapers won there could be a cut scene thousands of years in the future where an unknown race discovers a message from Shepards time span explaining that the Reapers had won (just like when Shepard discovered the Prothen VI in ME1) basically going full circle again.
Is there some way we could send this to Bioware? Make them take notice?

Not only is it well written, but it *makes sense* and fits in with the story with the added bonus of using what is already there.
I read that entire thing while imagining MY Shepard shouting at this apparition, slowly dying as he fights the Reapers toying with his mind, proving to them that organics and synthetics and multiple different species can work together in peace.
I liked the hallucination/indoctrination theory, but this is better. I can see all of my war assets on action, see my squadmates and friends do battle with Reaper forces - and win.
The best part is that it leaves opportunity for great loss, which IMO is needed here. Squadmates can die, depending on friendship/romance paths that you may or may not have followed. Earth could be destroyed or damaged so badly that it will never be the same. The fleets of each civilisation will be fighting for their lives taking heavy losses and maybe even be entirely wiped out depending on how many War Assets you had. Ultimately, it leaves Shepard's fate wide open. Maybe he dies, maybe he doesn't. There could be hidden factors that decide that for you, such as lack of a romance, not enough War Assets, or certain people dying/not dying. Who knows.
This fan made ending is truly the best I've read. It is unfortunate that BioWare would likely never use a fan made ending such as this in their own work, but I can still make this my own canon, my Shepard's story.
