It's so silly really. Kinect has nothing to do with voice recognition whatsoever. This could have just as easily been tied to the usb headset instead and nobody would care at all.

Here is a solution: Glovepie!

First download and unzip glovepie and then run it. It appears like a text editor, paste the following code into it, save it and run. You must have a mic (obviously), preferably a headphone mic next to your mouth so the game won't trigger commands on you.

This only translates voice to keyboard commands, it won't allow you the freedom that the Kinect video does but it is still handy. It is set up for the default Soldier layout so if you have changed anything you will have to tweak this as needed. The layout is simple to understand and you will notice MANY of the voice commands are attributed to the same key - Space or Escape. I've added them for immersion only, you can add or remove whatever you like.

Obviously the other classes have a different layout for the number keys but you can change it easily. Remeber to say ENABLE VOICE COMMANDS or LISTEN before shouting commands at it, also using DON'T LISTEN or STOP LISTENING during cut scenes is probably a good idea.

Is there no way of getting to call on your squad by their names? For instance "Liara Warp" or "James Concussive". The way raz3r_ does it in his video?

You could always select a certain group of characters for A and a certain Group for B and just add their names to the Q or E talk commands. In the video (2:00 approx), he says that he can't create actual commands for the characters so that wouldn't have happened anyway.

The reason why this feature isn't on PS3 and PC (It could EASILY be implemented) is because Microsoft wants it to look "exclusive."

Summed up: Micro$oft.

Since March 2012, I It don't seem any progress on this fan work. It will be my pleassure to join into the comunity and the part of this greatest project as well other(s). I was wondering able to help you, and continue with/you or without you.Firstly, make some modifications in a little upgrades on the command voice, beacuse a lot of people are axiousness to seem the project ready that modifications that I will send you by email, SaparousParrot5, at the mid time I propuse you, to create a new tech or prototype game*(concetpual) and the two value options/topic(s) would be inpired in the facts before the attack of lost paragon "James Vega", and during the story a little flash forward  of two chapters about the new Mass Effect *4.(I have an awesome idea to work at),Secondly of course I need resources not money just a few people to work at this main project, you're welcome to join.
