In the last conversation with the Illusive Man, there is a paragon/renegade dialog choice I can't make. (Specifically, the "But you already have" option.) The only information I've found is that I have to have a certain amount of reputation, along with having chosen every Paragon (or Renegade?) dialog option in *all* earlier dialogues with the Illusive Man.

I'm 100% sure I have chosen every single available Paragon dialog option, in every single conversation with him.
As for reputation... I had the DLC for ME1, (all side quests completed) all DLCs for ME2 (all side quests completed) and the currently available DLC (along with the CE) for ME3 (and all side quests completed there as well, 99% galaxy readiness along with a fleet strength of 7200~. I chose the reputation increase "talents" relatively early on - short story; that shouldn't be a problem.

How do you manually edit this value in the save game? I can't be bothered to replay the entire damn game with all side-quests, because something along the way is broken - especially since I don't know what or where that something is.

Yup I had that happen too. Full paragon and 6000 war assets and 100% galaxy at war!

Since the save games are in the same coding as the ME and ME2 ones, it shouldn't be impossible to fix the issue manually - but I lack the experience of editing ME savegames, would be nice to get some assistance from someone with the knowhow to fix it. :)

I had the same issue. Played all the side missions in ME1 and ME2. Imported my ME2 save and had plenty of starter paragon reputation. I noticed towards the end that my bar stopped increasing after earning rep/paragon points and figured I was at the top (about 5 mm or so from the top of the bar). Wasn't able to select the final paragon/renegade option with the Illusive Man. I was VERY unhappy about this after all I had gone through to build my rep over the 3 games.

Looked it up and thought maybe I have to play through a second time and was capped on my first play through. Tried playing the second playthrough and still no increases after earning rep/paragon. So I started earning renegade rep to see if I was paragon capped or something... still no increase. My renegade bar grew far more than the remaining amount I needed to be at the top of the rep bar so I know it's not just a matter of getting more rep. I've also read other accounts of people being able to select all the Illusive Man convo choices on their first playthrough so I'm pretty sure this is a bug.

How close to the top of the rep bar are you guys?

I have a full rep bar and almost 7000 War Asset points at 100% readiness as well and the same thing is happening to me.

I read something that *might* answer this. Apparently there are buried paragon/renegade options in the first convo you have with the Illusive Man back on Mars. You have to select the left dialogue option and then that opens up paragon/renegade choices. You have to select all of those to unlock the last option at the end of the game.

I haven't confirmed this, I just read it on another forum from someone who seemed to make sense. And I couldn't remember for sure if I had done it on my game.

I don't know what I want to believe more... that Bioware buried important paragon/renegade options at the beginning of the game that effect a major decision at the end of the game (regardless of my reputation level) or that this is a bug. Either way I was VERY upset that the option was gray after all I went through to get my paragon/rep full. Also didn't help that I then got excecuted by the Illusive Man because I suddenly didn't want to change my charager to renegade. None of which prepared me for what I would feel after the ending... *sigh*

Its not a bug to unlock the last charm/intimidate option with TIM you have to take the charm/intimidate option when you talk to him on mars, thessia and the cerb base if you don't they will be locked at the end.

I was suffering from the same problem as well, so I figured out which part of saves to modify. In order to enable the final paragon/renegade choice with Illusive Man, do the following:

- Open the save game editor,
- Go to plots tab,
- Set the value of integer at 10665 to 7.

PS: There is a bug with the current version (r46) of editor that makes it impossible to do this, so wait for a newer version.

That got it Asinop ! Thanks for the tip.

I had this issue on the PC version of the game. Is everyone who had this issue playing on the PC ?

I'm almost certain I chose the paragon choices whenever I was talking with TIM, and I was using a character imported from ME1 to ME2 into ME3. I had 100% galactic readiness (MP is kinda addictive) and did every side quest I could find. I had 7000+ GAW asset value as I recall.

So I'm wondering if this is a bug on the PC...

I think ....i solve the problem,. "But you already have" option depends on Rannoch (Destroy Reaper Base) misson, during conversation with the Reaper ....u get three type of option ,then u need to press
"Help us understand " option.
(i'm 90 % sure that will work )

Nope, you just need to always take the left option and then the Charm/Intimidate option when TIM shows up. Always. Even on Mars.

I was able to get the option at the end in my first game and I do know that I always chose the paragon option whenever I spoke to TIM. It's very easy to miss the Mars convo if you don't select the left option on the dialogue wheel. Don't know why they would do this...

Finally figured this one out.  I finally got it to work after figuring out where to look.  I was ableto get the Illusive Man to take "control" hehe. Thank you for this information.

As a noob who just now downloaded the editor with no idea how to do what you just said, can you please clarify more? I really don't feel like going back to Mars and working all the way towards the end again :P

I can't seem to find it anymore. Did any of the DLCs change the index? if not, then how far down the list should I be looking?
