Hello. I am wondering if the character I create here will work for xbox users as well?

No it will not. You can create a character and upload it to the social site, but you won't be able to use that character in Xbox or PS3.

Apparently they don't match up exactly between the different versions.

Yep. Sliders are different on consoles.
