I'm really hoping to read something official from Bioware about the endings/DLC/Future of ME.

Same here...although I do get a kick out of some of the comments and creative vids and artwork people have come up with about the endings.

Unfortunately, I went from praising the game to utterly despising it within minutes of reaching the game's end. Now I find myself mostly railing against both the game and Bioware for screwing this up so badly - something I'd honestly believed couldn't happen.

pretty much, i havent finished the game yet, im taking my time, not beating it in 13 hours like some,
however i think people are over reacting. Ive been a fan since day one with mass effect, and i understand some of the complaints, rpg elements , streamlining, etc.
however so far i find that this game is more rpg worthy of ME2 due to the amopunt of exploring and revisting areas to see all the content with random npcs and even squaddies.
This game does seem it will be shorter however, maybe it was a design choice due to the fact they had to make all the choices and paths end in Mass effect 3 from the two previous games.
Id imagine it would be hard to write a game to conclude everything you done, without making it shallow

Pretty much for me. I have moved on from BSN since the initial release of Mass Effect 2.

You people don't seem to get it. Everyone loved this game, but then came the ending. You will see soon enough when you get there.robmokron wrote...

theres a lot of fantastic games with bad endings, and considering the tone of the game and that its an end to shepard (im not sure what the ending but i can imagine) is it that shocking that its grim? like really? Does it always have to be "happy happy jopy joy" to be "good"

No, it needs to be quality to be good. This isn't it.
Another note: happy =/= "rainbows and butterflies".
As for why I'm here? The atmosphere is a lot different than other forums I've been a part of. I like it. I like the people. Even the rage.
