bump
The best re-wright of the Endings I've seen, it's the one I accept as canon

I really wish this was a option, this would be the most in character response from my Shepard.

Just wanted to give this a bump. This is a good example of how ME3 should have ended. Kudos to Arkis on DeviantArt for this!

Another really well written, plausible idea of how to fix the ending. Well done

Decent idea, except that without a lot better tech, Sword still can't defeat the Reaper fleet toe to toe. You pretty much need a way to subvert them.

That's what they tell you, but the lore says otherwise.Adanu wrote...

If you played your cards right, you are in posession of Thanix Cannons (and a bunch of other Reaper tech) that CAN hurt them.
The whole BS about not being able to defeat them was solely so they could bring in the whole Crucible-plot-device.
I would hardly miss that one.
Sure, it won't be easy to defeat them and unless you prepared really good, you will suffer huge casualties, or even loose, but it's hardly impossible. We've beaten the odds before.
I'd really prefer a conventional victory, where all the assets we gathered, all the things we learned and all the people we helped to unite play a pivotal role in wether we can defeat the Reapers.
It's far more rewarding than a Deus Ex Machina Killswitch - and everything else being meaningless cannonfodder

This is soo good on paper, so you can imagine how awsome in would be on screen along with music and the voice actors....why is it that one person can can come up with a better ending in a small amount of time than a team of paid writers who had two years on their hands/?

everything said here were my thoughts exactly. I was like wtf why can't I flip him off and destroy the space child's flawed logic.

I liked this ending alot. Hopefully bioware does something about these lame ass endings and taken a few ques from this guy. Good job

That...that was beautiful.
Damn Bioware and damn their multiculoured endings, THIS should be canon.
The best part is that it would require minimal effort to make, compared to Indoc theory.

You know the crucible plot device could still be used to send a signal through the mass relays and destroy the reapers that are in other systems. That's one of its functions. Use it as the weapon it was designed for. And leave the relays intact.
How does one get rid of the child? Destroying Harbinger. During your conversation EDI isolates the signal. Harbinger has to be destroyed before you can use the Crucible for its intended purpose. Thanix ground cannon to its underside while it's distracted with injured and wounded Shepard? Then all hell breaks loose (you can BTW still choose to go along with the kid) if Shepard refuses. I know Irina always completes her mission at any cost. All she has to do is stand up. Once. She's a symbol. She stands up and the Allies win and she's a legend. She doesn't have to finish this fight. Garrus et al can do that.
This game needs an epic finish.

This is freakin beautiful. I admit, I was feeling the tears coming when i was reading toward the end after shepard gives his/her speech. Bravo!
btw the indoc theory would still stand with this ending as the writer has managed to create this with the theory in mind.

If that had been the ending I think I would be on the defend the end side right now. But I hope we get something similar to this plus some other various endings.
Hold the line.

Hell, if that was the ending, I think the Take Back/ReTake movement would be much closer to the vocal minority some are trying to make them out to be

This is perfect why couldn't we argue with the little brat and just simply do nothing while our vast armada tore up some reaper tookus while the ground forces annihilated some cybernetically enhanced zombie ass

This is 1000% better than the ending we got! Omg now we just need someone who understands machinima to make this.

This is great writing! But, it's mentioned time again and again that there's no way you can face the reapers full force, even with all the galaxy banding together. The fact you loose an entire hammer company to two reapers and some soldiers shows the fleet doesn't have what it takes. There's just no way you could beat the reapers in straight combat. As for all the rest, it would be a much better ending.
I think an ending where your cycle loses, but a future race picks up the black box liara made, would be awesome.

Wow, epic, just epic.
I felt emotion just reading that.
Really, anything that lets me call bull**** on the child's choices is pleasant at this point.
