Obviously not.
Would a Dragon Age style "text" ending save ME3? (warning some spoilers included)

It would have provided closure to the story, it wouldn't have made the ending any better than it was. But at least we the players would have learned how our choices affected the remaining galaxy.
As of right now, BioWare threw us an ending that makes no sense, with a million follow up questions that we have no answers to. Meh, maybe the whole goal of the ending was to allow the player base to discuss what happened at the end, they just weren't expecting everybody to hate it.

Would it help? Yes. Would it save the game? No

Help... maybe. save the game... no.

The reason I actually suggested this is that it could be something patchable in less than 3 weeks as opposed to a full rewrite.
I mean, it could be a first step towards a rewrite, pacify the community.

I really liked the ending. But you know what would have been a good epilogue - a simple scene that takes place a few centuries later where you see someone like Liara in a ship dropping out of FTL:
*ship drops out of FTL - rear of pilot's helmet in foreground; overlooking blue planet dominating the screen*
*slowly zooms in and focusses on planet*
*cuts back to pilots face; it's Liara... she smiles knowingly - camera lingers on her and fades to black*
Fin.
I kinda feel they already achieve the sense that everyone will be okay though. In my ending you destroy the Reapers and the Normandy crew come out looking off into a sunrise. You just destroyed the Reapers and everyone has all the time in the world to build their future on their own terms. They'll crack relay tech, they'll find each other again, and they'll be fine now. As for Shepard, she fulfilled her purpose.

I would've made it a little better yes.
But again it would feel a little less quality then the rest of the game.
