ofcourse, if the endings had shepard and kaidan living happily ever after id have been fine with it. but we dont know what happened to shep or his LI! :(

Mass effect 3 : final hours

Casey on after Mass Effect 3
"Whatever we do would likely happen before or during the events of Mass Effect 3, not after"

what's the point of showig us, in one of the endings, a breathing Shepard if they don't do anything after? And the rest of the crew, including the LI, on the planet? What will they do?

I would have liked to see this for sure. One of the things Bioware has done so well with this series has been the romance options, the emotional attachement you get to one of the characters is stronger than a really good book (for me anyway). Without having the choice to be with your LI after such a monumental journey seems... lacking. I would even agree that it should be the hardest ending to get, but well worth it if it was an option.

I probably would have accepted its absence better if the ending choices actually seemed to show/explain anything of what happened after Sheps choice. Like others have stated, half of my play experience centered around the romances of my Shep(s), for me that was an integral part in what has been, other than the ending(s) of 3, one of the best game series I have ever played.

The option? Yes, of course.

YES, YES and YES. Please, at leat in one option (good ending). Those people wanting a bad ending should also be able to achieve it. I don't want to, I prefer a bitter-sweet-but-still-hopeful ending with Shep living and at least get reunited with LI.

Hell yeah, a million times yes. That was one really disappointing thing the ending lacked as well.

It wouldn't have made sense the way my story was panning out.
Doesn't mean it shouldn't have for yours.

I'd support it, even if I never got to use it.

I'd pay $10 (or more) for an ending where Shepard dies with his LI. Seriously.

This right here. Different Sheps need different endings. One ending does not fit all Sheps.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Here's what I hoped - and expected - to happen. Prepare yourself.

Shepard deploys the Crucible, Reapers fissure and explode. Joker and the Normandy crew manage to save Shepard on the Citadel. A badly wounded Shepard takes the shuttle down to the planet surface to witness the devastation/victory firsthand. She lands on, I dunno, a hill or somethng, which overlooks London. "Vigil" starts playing. Fiery bits of Reapers are falling out of the sky. The city itself looks charred and desolate - like Berlin after the Soviets took it 1945. Then Liara steps out of the shuttle and walks up beside Shepard. A weak dawn breaks through the ash and smoke. Liara takes Shepard's hand, and they look at each other, then smile wanly.

The end. That's how I had hoped it would end. I truly believed.

Nope.

totally up for it. i don't understand the need to kill/sacrifice the hero. mass effect has always been about choice, so there should be an option for an ending where shepard lives. at least for those of us who played their game accordingly (full paragon). with all the sacrifices that have been made and all the people that died during the reaper invasion it definitely wouldn't be a "rainbow and unicorn" ending

There should've definitely been a variety of possibilities for the ending. Living with LI should've been one of them. Settling down completely sounds a little ridiculous, my Shep would probably want to hunt mercs and slavers for fun every once in a while, but a future with Tali on her homeworld is probably the largest single reason I wanted to stop the reapers.

Needless to say I am extremely disappointed.

That's my entire issue. I wanted to choice to have that ending. I played the games to reflect how I would do it. I wanted to survive, have a future with my love interest, and not destroy the relays. I personally played it to respect all life and not sacrifice anyone, including the Geth. Your choices unite the galaxy, it deserved a future. Shephard gave enough already, he/she deserved a future.

People might bring up tragedy and sacrifice. It already has it. Billions are dead, worlds are destroyed, lives are ruined. The journey to the end was emotional enough, the ending was hope. Sometimes fairy tale endings are what people need, especially if that is what they want.

The galaxy proved the Reapers wrong because they did unite. Destroying the relays was even more pathetic. It makes even less sense.

Bioware got consumed with the idea of being unexpected. They robbed us of choice. It was our journey and we should have been able to end it our way.

And yes, getting Tali back her homeworld was very personal for me. It would have been nice to see her out of her suit on her planet one day.

Yes but it should be the HARDEST ending to get.  And it should be possible whatever 'choice' you choose for the galaxy.
